Friendly proprietor, nice views along the river Loire. Very basic rooms though.
The Wi-Fi was decent. There is a doorbell behind the building where one can park the car. Downtown Blois is a pleasant walk away across the bridge.

Beautiful view, very basic room.

I booked a single room and it was at the attic, extremely small and uncomfortable for me. The bed was also narrow and uncomfortable. I moved out after one night. Also the top floor had a door with barely working lock. The staircase is also narrow and steep. All together it got me thinking that in case of fire I won’t be able to escape.

Never again

Le Pavillon is in such a good place to visit Blois, situated near the old bridge.  
The restaurant below smelt lovely & was fairly busy. We had a drink sat outside, overlooking the river & town. 
The person behind the bar was so friendly. Explained everything in English & was very thorough. There was a separate door to the hotel after the bar shut. 
The interior of the hotel was plain, but serviceable, like many French & Spanish hostels. No lift.  
Our room faced the back, I would imagine some at the front have lovely views.  We had long doors that opened. 
The room was ‘quirky’ an unusual shape, with an old fashioned radiator which clicked on overnight, so was lovely & warm. 
Beds comfortable & plenty of room. A table & chair & two hangers.  Old fashioned furniture but rather sparse with few fittings. 
The bathroom was small but the shower new & all worked well. 
It was very peaceful overnight & we slept very well. 
It is so close to the town that I would recommend for visiting Blois.  Very good for the price. 

Good place to visit Blois

Cheap and basic room but incredibly hot and no air con so had a very uncomfortable night. On main road so noisy if window was open. Room was clean though and breakfast was ok and great view from window. Very friendly and helpful guy provided us with a map and suggestions for the evening. 


Too hot!!! 

Paid for a private room. The place looks very old. The water for the shower take ages to get hot and the water leaks out to the shower floor due to the floor being pretty much same level. There is a heater in the room but it was still freezing to stay in

I stayed here for two nights in late October 2015 and had a very pleasant experience.  I had a double bed room that was plenty spacious for what I needed.  The room as well as the showers and toilets were all clean.  I was in room 4 which only has a sink in it. The single toilet and two showers were shared but on the same floor.  The hotel was quiet since the bar/restaurant downstairs closes fairly early.  I didn't have much street noise either.  It was a bit chilly outside but the radiator which I had temp control over was plenty warm and there was extra blankets in the room as well.  The hotel may be old but I felt like room 4 had been recently updated.  

It's across the bridge from the pedestrian center of town but the walk is an easy 5 minutes.  I actually preferred this to be slightly away and quieter.  The reception isn't open late so be sure to arrive at a decent time.  If the restaurant is open, you'll check in there.  Don't ring the hotel doorbell as no one will answer when the restaurant is open.  They will give you a door code to come and go at all hours if you like.  

There isn't a common room or lobby.  It's just a building with rooms to stay in.  I don't much fancy hanging out in my room anyway on vacation so that didn't bother me.  The walls are rather thin and I heard the couple next to me having quite the fun time.  Walls aren't so thin you can hear a conversation clearly but your neighbors will notice if you roll around under the sheets.  

The hotel will hold your luggage in a locked room if you need on the last day.  I give it 4 stars for the price I paid, 33 Euros/night.  It met my expectations and I would stay here again if I returned to Blois.

Room Number 4 was Great!

The best things about this hotel are price and location. For private room with sink we paid 35€. To reach old town you only have to cross bridge. If you are with car there is possibility to park it for free in the street (if you have luck). However hotel is very old. Walls are thin, window doesn’t keep warm. I don’t recommend this hotel for colder months. On our floor there was no bathroom with shower, only toilet, so we had to go downstairs where there were only 2 showers. I think this is a little bit too less for number of rooms. Remember to bring flip-flops to take shower there, because you don't want to touch floor with bare feet! Everything looked awful, like from communists time in Poland.  Advantages were spacious room, nice view from window and free wi-fi. I didn’t try food in restaurant downstairs, however in old town there are plenty places to eat- very close. In addition, for this price don’t expect even average comfort.
