We stayed here for just one night, en route back to the ferry from Dunkerque. It was a lovely place to spend our last night in France; lovely warm welcome from hosts, superb room with everything we would want and so spacious, gardens and woodland to walk through with lots of flowers, fantastic breakfast - more or less all home made - including a range of preserves, rolls and yoghurt. We will definitely return, as we felt we could happily stay for a week! The owner kindly booked us a table at a local restaurant, and it certainly lived up to her recommendation. This is a real find- visit if you can. As we had a horrendous journey from Dover home (north Cumbria) we are considering a north sea crossing and then driving down to Pantag Hof. The area feels more Dutch than French; it was in Flanders at one stage. Seemed to be plenty to see and do in the area.

Rural retreat

We are staying here for the weekend.  When we booked this we originally looked for something near Dunkirk but when found this we jumped straight in.

It’s situated about 10 miles outside Dunkirk.  Right in the countryside.  A little hard to find if you have a sat nav but when you get to the street it is on you have to turn right and drive 500 yards rather than left into the village.  It’s like a large bungalow run by a French couple who are delightful hosts.

We had a family room with all the usual facilities.  Opposite us was a family with a couple of young kids who were boisterous in the warm afternoon but children need to play so it was no problem.

Breakfast is taken at a large table in the reception area.  The hosts have their own fresh yoghurt, there is cereal fresh fruit and croissants from the village boulangerie.  Opposite the bakery is a great family restaurant tucked away in the corner of the square.  See my separate review for this.

We are staying here for two nights and it’s a brilliant find.  The only downside is us I’m afraid.  We only know the odd words of French and feel so useless but the hosts are excellent and if anyone is looking for somewhere to stay about 45 minutes from Calais this will be a suitable stopover.  Tres Bon as they say.

Lovely place tucked away in the country

Quiet, clean, and well abouve standards. Owners top class!  The whole setup is well above standards, inside on property parking, spacios and immaculate rooms, very comfortable, and have all what is needed, wifi also, not the fastest, but  enough to just keep you  not to close to the real world... Quiet nights are guaranteed. Breakfast, well absolutely nothing to say apart that is is perfect, and canm cater from all tastes from Eu amd even further, and what  if there is, is not availabile, I am sure next day it will be. Onwers go well out of their way to please, and total satisfaction seems to be their motto. I can only but give it full marks! and well deserved too!

A "Gem" in North Pas Calais, a little off the beaten track, but well worth the extra 5 mins to get there.

With Dunkirk and Calais booked out for the weekend, this country farmhouse B&B was a great alternative to an impersonal city hotel. With clean, well equipped and comfortable bedrooms, by the door parking, functional Wi-Fi, and a large garden & stables area to stroll around - a very pleasant place to stay. With 5 guest rooms, the communal breakfast was entertaining, with a great spread on offer and cordial hosts in attendance. Close to the 'should see' Blockhaus, but ensure you have a GPS as map navigating pretty challenging along the secondary roads!

Fantastic
A lovely, friendly, French couple who make sure that you are comfortable. 
Breakfast is superb, served in the hosts own dining room, cereals, breads, croisants, cheese, fruit, delicous home made yoghurt and fresh squeezed orange juice.
We stayed in the suite, a very spacious 2 bedroom unit, perfect for family.
There was no TV but as we were out all weekend, this was no problem. There is free wi-fi.
