First time here. Was greeted by Taha who was friendly and very informative.  Eager to help with any tourist information.  Hotel was small 
very clean and a perfect location in the centre.  Close to the tram service.  We paid €5 per day for carpark. Breakfast was €7 per day, but we had breakfast out every morning just minutes away to a number of cafes to choose from.  Definitely reccomend this hotel

Beautiful quaint small boutique hotel

Simple hotel but fantastic location for the city centre and riverfront. Reception staff very relaxed and informal, and it must be OK to bring your own wine in to drink because there's a notice on the front desk actively inviting guests to ask to borrow a corkscrew (also an iron, and something else). Small fridge in room. No outdoor area as far as I could see. One point to mention - the stairs were narrow and steep, so not good for people who have difficulties with them. There may have been a lift, I can't remember!

We were in Bordeaux to see katie melee and needed to stay somewhere close to the centre. Hotel de la Boatie is perfectly positioned in the centre of Bordeaux with everything was in close proximity. Offered a great tea and cafe on arrival. The room was a little on the small side but for the price we paid it was great value. Staff were very helpful. We didn't have breakfast as we wondered the town on our last day.

Perfect Price, Position Bordeaux

Very friendly reception! The room was tiny but adequate and clean. The garage is about 500 m away by car, but can be reached on foot in less that 5 minues. The hotel is perfectly located just outside the old city.

Small but nice

Close to everything except the parking place.
In Bordeaux the parking lots can cost more than 50€ per day!!!
Besides that, this hotel is close to everything.
Bordeaux is an easy city with lots of things to do, to see and to eat.
This is the right place to stay at an afordable price.
The staff is very friendly

Tremendous location!

Five minute walk from where the local bus from the airport (Ligne 1) stops (Gambetta stop) The fare is only 1 Euro 60 cents for a 40-50 minute journey.
Promptly greated in perfect English at reception only to have my bank card declined (totally my fault). I would have thrown me out but they weren't bothered and were happy to wait till the following day for payment. Was offered complimentary tea/coffee whenever visiting reception.
The room was spotless, the bathroom more than adequate and the bed very comfy. A little bit of noise outside on the first night but only to be expected in a popular area.
I didn't have breakfast at the hotel as there are numerous lovely restaurants, bistros, cafes and bars within a couple of minutes walk. All the city centre attractions are a 10-15 minute walk away.
All in all, a great stay in an excellent budget hotel in a lovely city.
Would definitely stay here again when visiting Bordeaux.

Super. And all at a great price

This is a reasonably priced budget hotel, right among the action in Bordeaux.
Very little amenities however, the manager was very helpful, we overlooked any problems.
No aircon which was a small problem with hot nights...but the fans provided were ok.
TV stations very limited..almost nothing in English.....no bar fridge, and a bit far to buy food and drinks.....no water provided......
Parking is several blocks from the hotel, which is in a side street with very limited drop off space to park.
Parking is expensive, but that is so in most large cities.

The manager was very friendly and as I said, made up for any minor problems....we asked for a kettle which wasnt provided in the room....very obliging and not a problem.....he spoke very good English and was a great help with local knowledge.

No elevator...but again, the Manager carried our cases up the stairs for us.

Generally we stay at 4 star or more hotels, and would not think about a 2 star hotel like the De La Boetie, but for a couple of nights, it was fine.....within walking distance of everything we wanted to see...

Clean, all problems attended to without fuss...would recommend if you are not overly critical.....
