Great spot right on the corner. Stopped on route for lunch just for drinks. Can’t comment on the food or hotel. Decent price drinks served quickly by friendly waitress. Tables getting a bit tired but pleasant hour watching the world go by. 

Corner spot

Nicely situated to explore Boulogne-sur-Mer. Very noisy spot, y the traffic and by the gulls.
Degraded interior. Typical French, but good breackfast.
Some product is vaporised in the room: smells terrible.
A place to forget and never to be booked again.

Useful location in noisy street

It was freezing cold outside and we were looking for somewhere for lunch. On the outside it doesn’t look that great. But once inside the welcome was warm. We sat at a window table looking out to the harbour. The service was friendly and efficient and the food great. Three courses beer wine coffee for less than £60. It was so comfortable we could have sat there all day. The night before we had a pretentious overrated and overpriced so called Michelin star meal just up the road. Shame we didn’t find the Hamiot first. 

A warm welcome 

Hotel Hamiot is a good, clean hotel with nice rooms.  We had a small, but nicely presented room overlooking the port, with a view that was very appealing to us.  The hotel was an excellent base for exploring Boulogne although parking was a little difficult.  The restaurant was good and the staff were very helpful and friendly, especially in the restaurant.

Good traditional hotel

This is a wonderful bar restaurant with a superb ambience and feel to it. The tables have high backed bench seating affording privacy from other table beside or nearby. Service is impeccable and the lunch time menus excellent value and good quality. There is an upstairs restaurant ( closed on Wednesdays) which serves exceptional food at a reasonable price. An excellent place for a quiet and intimate dinner and perfect service. We have not stayed in the hotel as there is no car park although there is on street parking available.

Ideally situated and perfect place for a meal or drink

This was the first problem we encountered in our recent visit to the Hamiot where we have stayed numerous times in the past. We arrived in Boulogne at 1, had a great meal in the brasserie and wanted to check in... But no, we were told in no uncertain terms that check in could not be done until 5pm!!! What hotel in the world has a 5pm check in! It was a hot day and when we finally get to our room it was so hot you couldn't breathe. Double glazing keeps out the very loud street noise but without the small fan provided we would have baked. 
Noise - a very noisy street and a music festival in the street at full blast till 1.30 am meant keeping windows shut. They really need to install air conditioning to make the rooms bearable in summer.
Breakfast was woeful. A choice of cold croissant, bread jam etc was not worth the 10 euro they charged. 
Oh and the lift was broken. No apology offered!! We stayed for old times sake but will never stay again..
