Belvédère Hôtel

I stayed in a room with a beautiful view of the ocean. The room was not the most modern, but very clean. The wifi worked well, the toilet was separate from the shower, which is always nice, and the bathroom was well stocked and the hot water worked well. Most importantly, the two people (I wish I knew there names) working the front desk were amazing. Specifically, they arranged a taxi for my return trip to the airport. The front desk is closed between 1am and 7am, we needed a taxi for 4am, so we arranged the night before. Unfortunately I overslept and my colleagues had to leave without me. I rushed outside on the outside chance I could still catch the cab only to find myself locked out of the hotel. I don't speak french, I tried to call a taxi, but got a french message machine. I had to ring the night bell to get back into the hotel for help. I can only imagine what a drag it is having to wake up to help a customer at 4am, but they did. Calling a cab for me, I was able to make it to the airport in time. Phew! The location is also very convenient if you have business with iFremer. It is a pleasant walk to the campus. The hotel prices are very reasonable, and I would recommend others stay here.
