I came back by chance to be patient and sheltered from the cold cold of late February. A very nice, authentic and very nice place at the foot of the Prorel cabins.

Nice little stop for a hot wine.

The room was number 28 and it was very small, but for one night it was also bearable. The very small bathroom with a mini sink where it was almost impossible to wash without flooding the bathroom. All the facilities in sight, but this in France is quite normal. The parquet is very old and crinkling. The TV rests on a chair with a terrifying electrical system and no security. Of course without Italian channels. The worst thing was the cleaning: the glass was very dirty (not cleaned for months) and the cleaning was usually desirable. The staircase to the room had stairs made of wood and uninviting heads.

A terrifying experience

We had booked a three-bedroom room there shortly after, as we had left the hotel originally booked on the run in briancon (de paris)....very nice staff speaking english...rooms were clean and beds ok...that was enough for our biketour;-) breakfast might look a little more luxurious but that was fine too.

Very nice hotel in good condition with friendly staff

Found the property after a bit of difficulty as signage is poor. Location is ok, about 15 minutes walk from the centre.

 When we arrived at our room we were shocked by the decor and general appearance of the room. It was not at all like the pictures we had seen online. Room was incredibly basic. We booked a double room but were given twin beds. One tiny desk and a dilapidated wardrobe. Very small and dingy. Although it appeared clean it was not the accommodation we had intended to stay in. We complained to the hotel reception, and were informed (whether it is true or not) that the property had changed hands in the last 3 weeks and the previous owner had taken all the decoration. Looking at previous reviews this doesn't look to be accurate.

We slept ok and breakfast was adequate. Wouldn't book here again, plenty of other accommodation in the area.

Disappointing stay!

We stopped after a skiing day to drink a little beer and there was a very nice little surprise concert! Super welcome and excellent atmosphere! Ideally located at the foot of the cabins.

Great start to the evening.

The hotel is located in the lower part of Briancon near the river.The structure also includes a characteristic pub-restaurant whose reception follows the opening and closing hours, so it is advisable to specify the arrival time in the booking phase.The rooms are spacious but large and also have a nice terrace available.

Spartaco but comfortable and original

A very nice welcome on arrival, a very nice team listening to the slightest needs. We made a step on a motorbike ride and all we could expect from a nice step was the appointment, listening, comfort in the bedding. A small but not very important thing is the size of the shower. Breakfast is of good quality. A quality/price ratio that we would like to see more often.

Very nice chalet hotel, with a welcome worthy of that name! The boss is really attentive, the rooms are simple but comfortable and very clean. Breakfast is perfect. Advise for a reasonable price.

That's really nice.

Home 20/20 Room 16/20 Rate 20/20 Very nice and really quiet place by the river. Very nice staff. The price ratio is very good. The rooms are rustic but in the charm of the mountains. Summer and winter.

Very nice and practical.

We arrived and they denied all knowledge of our booking (despite someone from the hotel ringing up our group organiser earlier to confirm and ask if we wanted to eat on the terrace).  They did however find us all rooms (there were 9 of us)
They then said we couldn't eat that night at all and told us to go into the town to another restaurant.
At 8am in the morning there were no staff around to even find out if we could have breakfast.  Consequently we had to go and find it elsewhere.
Back to the hotel by 3pm and again, no staff, all locked up and we had to wait an hour for someone to arrive to open the door for us.
We went out in the evening and back at 10pm, again all locked up, no staff and luckily there were other guests inside who could see us and gave us a code to get into the building.
Wifi only works in the main room downstairs,  None available in the bedroom.
In the morning staff were available to sort out breakfast (of course they were - it was check out morning) though the coffee machine was faulty and someone has to come and fix it before we could have coffee.
Final insult was that we were quoted 170 (plus 17 for 2 breakfasts) for our double room for two nights but were charged 220 euros.
