I litterly felt like we had fallen into a story book! kids dipped in the stream and ran wild in the forest. Sleeping in the treetops was the most peaceful experience. The beds where very comfortable. Max the owner tip toes around delivering your breakfast on the pulley and emptying the compost loo and checking we are happy. We feel lucky to have discovered this place!

A magical stay!

We stayed here for 1 night on our way down to the Alps and it was great.  We stayed in the largest tree house which was perfect for us with our kids who are 15 and 12.  It was clean and spacious.  Would have been nice to stay another night and explore the area more as there is a lake with activities nearby.  The basket of breakfast delivered to the bottom of the tree house and winched up was a lovely touch.

Fantastic place to stay

This is a very well conceived, unusual place. To stay in tree top house like this is a real one-off privilege. It is very well managed and the tree house itself is a treat. 
The kids actually whooped in delight in unison when they saw where we would be staying..!  We stopped here on an overnight stopover back to the UK and it provided us with some great memories and photos.  Despite the fact that you are in a treehouse in a unique spot it is still on the basic side so the better prepared you are the better. So hence my only gripe...so more specific pre-information would be good. I would and will however be recommending this almost unreservedly (you do need to be able bodied and not worried about sleeping slightly rough without modern amenities) but for the price it is a brilliant experience....

A great experience, very different to the norm, be prepared...!

We booked this holiday as a stopover on the way to Doucier near Geneva and we were so glad we did. It was a fantastic way to start off our travels in France. 
We arrived on time at 5pm as agreed with Max and was welcomed warmly. He thinks his English is poor but on the contrary, it’s very good.
Near the entrance there were 2 ‘bathroom’ chalets which were fitted out to a high standard that you get to share with another treehouse which Max gave us a key for. The actual treehouse has no running water or plumbing so this makes complete sense.
We then followed Max’s jeep through the forest. We past the other 3 treehouses (well, their parking spaces as they were set back from the track) and eventually came to our one and what a wow moment it was. Secluded right in the far corner of the forest was our treehouse. 
Max gave us the tour of the house including how the ‘natural’ toilet worked!! He also took our breakfast order for the morning which was to be hoisted up on a pulley to the balcony which was fun.
The accommodation was perfect. Clean, tidy and had the wonderful smell of wood.
The small river running at the base of the house was lovely but don’t be worried about gnats. They just don’t fly up to the house!!
The beds were comfy (all 6 of them) and the double bed in the upper floor had a lovely view over the roof and in to the forest and fields beyond.
The breakfast hoisted up on the pulley was delicious. Coffee, tea, choco-pan, bread, jams, Nutella were all tasty. Just bear in mind we didn’t ask for milk with the tea so make sure you ask specifically for milk. You can have hot chocolate if you like.
We all used the bathroom chalet in the morning and the shower was good.
We saw Max on our departure and he wish us a safe journey.
We booked the largest treehouse (sleeps 6) as it was the last one remaining and it is also the most secluded. We had a walk in the forest following the stream and came across 2 of the other houses (which we tip-toed past) and they too looked fantastic. If you can afford the extra £20-£30 it’s worth it.
We were a family of 4 with 2 teenage kids (who loved the stay)

Travellers tips: When you read the info on the website it says to bring wet shoes and bedding for your stay. I called Max from England before we left and asked him about this. He agreed to supply bedding as we were international travellers and did not expect us to be carrying bedding and the wet shoes were only needed following rain as the forest can get muddy. He told us that they hadn’t had rain for a while so wet shoes were not needed. So I would suggest a call before you set out. Max supplies a few bottles of water but I would suggest you bring some of your own (or other beverage!). As no electricity in the tree houses, battery lamps are supplied with spare batteries. Apply bug spray if walking in the forest!! (That one was from the wife). If there is a thunder and lightning storm be prepared to vacate the tree house until it passes but Max will advise more on that (it’s obviously a safety thing)

Anyway, that’s enough for the review. Would I go again? Most definitely! If I could go without the kids I’d book the romantic 2 person house with the wife and have the evening meal and breakfast supplied and just enjoy the experience!!!!

A must try experience

My freind and I are traveling around France for 7 weeks and we always look for unusual and quirky accommodation. Max the host is very accommodating and helpful, and made us feel comfortable in our tree house. Being from Australia he was happy to go out of his way to provide linen and towels for us. We enjoyed our evening terrace picnic, and our inclusive breakfast which you hoist up from the ground. The toilet is in the treehouse (Eco) and the shower room up the lane 100m or so. It was clean and innovative.
