Stayed one night. Large room but not very clean. Coffee stains on the wall. A little run down but a reasonable price. Shower head broken and you had to hold it to wash yourself. Friendly staff and decent French breakfast.

Touring France

The reception is neat and tidy and the staff welcoming. The room was clean and tidy but it just seemed to need a little tender care to bring it up to date. The pillows on the bed were small and thin, hardly any use at all. The hotel is near a Buffalo Grill and there is a supermarket close by with other restaurants available. Leaving the hotel you have to go through part of the commercial centre due to how the one way system works.

Seems a little tired

I had originally booked another hotel for my stay in the area but changed it to this hotel as it had air-conditioning as by the end of May it was getting warm.

On checking in and settling in my room I turned the air-conditioning on to find that it wasn’t working so I went to the desk and they informed me that the system was broken and they were not sure when it would be fixed as it was a Saturday but did move me to a room on the other side of the building which I was told should be cooler and with the window open it wasn’t too bad.

The new room was a bigger one which gave me a bit more room to spread out in and wasn’t too bad and met my needs while I was touring in the area. 

The location like a lot of these 2-3 star chain hotels in France was on the outskirts of the town with supermarkets, fast-food restaurants and superstores in the nearby area and with free parking I found the location good for exploring the area.

The air-conditioning wasn’t fixed during my stay but in the end it wasn’t that big a deal.

OK IN THE END

This is a very basic hotel right off a main road.  It is pretty spartan but very clean.  In the US, this might compare to a holiday inn express.  We did not have the breakfast but it looked like a basic continental breakfast.

Convenient and clean

We booked two rooms here for a stopover from Paris on our way to the south for our family of 6 (including 4 children) and the rooms were clean and spacious. The service was efficient and the location wasn't bad, if a little bit far from the highway. There were many nearby dining options available. I would stay here again.

Great for a stopover

Wanted a clean, cool room (on a hot day) for a 1 night stopover on a camping tour in France. Hotel was in outskirts of Brive in industrial/shopping area. Room was spacious, clean and bed was comfortable. Parking free and onsite and felt safe to leave with all our camping gear in it. There was aircon in room which was a plus for a 50 euro roadside stopover. Friendly reception staff. Wifi didn't work which wasn't a problem for one night, but....We ate in next door Buffalo Grill which isn't our favourite place, but OK for a stopover. 

Decent stopover

Just what we wanted for a one night stopover. Clean room, really comfortable bed, wifi, secure parking and an affordable price. Restaurants very close by. Easy to find as, whilst on a quiet back road, it is just off a main roundabout.
