We had no idea in advance about this campsite - we just wanted a rural one - and we were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was.
Dont expect lots of nearby facilities, as it is a simple rural campsite. It has all grass pitches for tourers and tents, most with electricity connections. There are a number of static caravans and chalets around as well. There is a lovely fishing lake adjacent to the site and plenty of woods nearby for walking in.
The site is family owned and the family were are realyy nice, very helpful and spoke good English. A bread van comes every morning and even the bread lady spoke good English.
Toilet facilities were good and always clean and tidy. Free wifi available near the entrance, which has a minimum stock of food and cold drinks.
A good site and one we will visit again.

A Relaxing Rural Campsite

Way out in the countryside, between Metz and Thionville, this is a peaceful little campsite, popular with older campers. Best to have a decent map or a satnav but access is fairly easy.
Pitches are of a decent size, mostly slightly sloping.
Toilet block is well maintained and clean, if somewhat old fashioned. Mostly squatties but there are standard toilets as well.
Lake, woodland walks. Handy for the Maginot Line. Steam railway not far away.
Friendly owners. English spoken.
Baker calls at weekends and holidays.
