The hotel rooms we had were worthy of 3 stars. The owner was super friendly and the staff was also helpful. However, the HP dishes were very basic and far from culinary delights. Sauerkraut with sausage and potatoes is apparently a star dish there.

Good rooms but very basic restaurant.

Stopped at this Auberge by chance - greeted in very friendly manner and shown to a room without delay. Well-appointed and warm room with comfortable twin beds.
Service was speedy - good, concise menu of food from the Vosges region. Nothing was too much trouble.

Warm welcome after a long journey

We stayed two nights here as our extended family were staying at the large campsite down the road. It's situated on the main road but that is probably the only negative. We stayed in a family room, consisting of 6 beds on two different levels. The room probably needs slight updating as the bathroom area was a bit tired. However in all, the room was comfortable. We had one evening meal at the hotel as part of a large party, including lots of children. The food was very good value and very tasty. The waitresses were very charming too. We noticed the restaurant was full each evening. 

I don't believe much English is spoken here but the chef could speak German. There was a good selection for breakfast. 

Excellent hotel with a lovely evening meal

Picture perfect and very good.  A couple have recently renovated the old building, put ensuites to most of the rooms ( a bit squeezed in !)  Quality fittings and comfortable bed, generous breakfast, and excellent home cooked evening meal. It was obvious that many of the locals eat there as well.
