Don’t even THINK about staying here.  I’ve stayed in some crappy hotels in my time, but this was one of the worst experiences ever.  
The first encounter was my attempt to check in.  The acknowledgment the hotel sent me when I made the reservation said I was expected at 3:00.  I arrived at 3:00 and the hotel was closed.  The door was locked and nobody answered the buzzer.  
I called a phone number posted on the door and was told to come back at 4:00.  That left me to roam around for an hour with a heavy suitcase on my back.  I returned at 4:15 to find four other people waiting outside trying to get in.  Nobody showed up to let us in until about 4:25.  
When I finally got in, the guy asked ME how much my room cost.  I found my paperwork and showed him.  He insisted I pay NOW, but then couldn’t get his credit card reader to work.  
He gave me a key and I found a cramped stuffy room with only a tiny desk fan to circulate air.  The promised wifi seldom worked.  The tiny “bed” was just a box spring and mattress on the floor. 
The location of this place was great.  I wish someone would open a legitimate hotel there.  The whole experience was infuriating.

Bad, bad, bad.

When I saw the outside of this hotel I was expecting not to like it and thought it would be outdated but the interior along with the rooms appears to be freshly decorated with bright colors and the bathroom was modern and clean. Our room wasn’t large but we managed. There’s an elevator! The restaurant downstairs was good, the breakfast typically French. I found a parking place nearby and paid for it then it was free after 6 pm. The staff was nice and helpful. It was very hot and they had an electric fan for use. We had to leave the window open but with ear plugs I missed most of the noise. I liked the location too.

A Surprise

A pleasant surprise - this is a great little hotel.  It is upstairs from a busy cafe/bar though later in the season noise was no problem and the convenience is just great, right on the market square and minutes from what action Cahors offers.  Do check the parking - the twice weekly market can catch you out.

Cahors Central Charm

Located above the bar/restaurant next to the market square, you are in the center of the downtown action. That can be great, but our room faced the square and was noisy until 11pm. AND, early morning street cleaning and trash pickup woke us up.Our room was tiny on the 4th floor (elevator to the 3rd), which is not a problem in itself, since we weren't spending a lot of time in our room.
You can walk to all the major sites for here, and I must say, I loved having the Saturday market right outside our door.

Central location - Can be Noisy

Nice room but hotel is afterthought to cafe.  Can be loud.  Parking is in city lots with rules to watch for. Breakfast is basic but good.  Location is good for old Cahors.  Good bed and artsy decor was nice.

Decent, clean and for when location is the priority

My wife Asherah and I stayed at Le coin for 2weeks in September of 2017 and loved it.  The staff went out of their way to ensure that are stay was a pleasant one, the rooms were clean and arty, and the location in the center of town right in the middle of everything was a real plus.  Noise, what noise, get over it, the hotel is in the center of town, so what did you expect.  In short Le cold is a great place to stay if you want to get the real feel of a place and not merely want to tick off another destination.  You know the old if it,s Thursday it must be Cahors.  So you went to France what did you learn.  my wife and I live in Hawaii and so we are quite familiar with those typical tourists “out to see the sights”,  take it from me, if you want to really want to get a feel for other places take some time and rub elbows with the local people. We stayed 2 weeks

Sadly as others have reported the indifferent staff and very basic accommodation cannot make up for the location. We were on the top floor, one flight beyond the lift. It was very hot, 32C during the day and when we asked for a fan to help manage the muggy night ahead we were informed that it had to have been pre-booked by a week!
Paper thin walls separate the rooms which I assume were divided at some point and the window does not lock, affording very poor security.
Parking is nearby however it's very unclear if you can stay overnight and the staff don't seem to know even though we had pre-ordered it.
Sorry guys but a 1 star for cleanliness and location.
