Have been staying at this hotel for over 20 years - only once or twice a year. Perfectly placed. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. Rooms are always clean. I do not know how people can fault this hotel. Private, closed car park. Dogs at no extra charge. My daughter loves the balconies! Would not stay anywhere else. 

Love this hotel 

Stayed one night, now badly bitten by something (bedbugs?), will now have to take the precaution of washing everything and fumigating the bag.

Booked this because we used to use it for work years ago, but it has gone seriously downhill. Carpet was filthy, no bedside lights, door to balcony broken and would not close, shower support broken, fire safety notice missing from the door. Very noisy (town centre location/broken window/noise from other residents in tbe small hours) and did not feel particularly safe.

Run down and badly maintained.

This was a first time visit for my wife and me and, as the heading suggests, it was a mixed experience. 

The first impression was good, as the young man at Reception was courteous, helpful, and spoke some English. He was able to assure us that the square opposite was a safe place to leave our car. (This would not have been the case on two evenings of the week - I seem to recall Tuesday and Friday - as there is a market there on the following days). If the square is not available, there is a car-park for the hotel - at a cost of €8,00 per night!

We went up to our room using the elevator and all looked good. Regretfully, this was not, in fact, the case. The major problem was with the en-suite. The good point, here, was the provision of some toiletries. However, there was no toilet seat - something that may be acceptable in shared facilities in a shopping centre, but totally unacceptable in an en-suite in a hotel! Then there was the shower! The slider bar was missing, and the shower-head just hung down on its piping. As for the hot water - I had to run the basin hot tap, at the same time as my wife had the shower control at its highest - and we still had to wait for some five minutes before the water was warm enough to be comfortable! With metered water, that establishment must have a very high water bill! Running the water into the basin was no problem - there was no plug for the drain! Again, something one almost expects in some places, but not in an en-suite! I did take some photographs - but the SD Card Reader in my laptop has suddenly decided not to recognise any SD Card that I insert! Sorry.

Thankfully, the bed was comfortable, so we did enjoy a good night's sleep - after the noise from the square has subsided!

The wi-fi was acceptable - but I had to go to Reception in order to acquire the access code, and to discover which of the multiple "Belazur" networks was the one that we should use!

So, like the parson's egg, the Belazur was "good in parts". However, it is unlikely that we will use it again.

They say pictures tell a thousand words, we’ll the word these show is horrific. I’ve tried to get money refunded but the hotel are not interested or care.  Please it’s just as sad inside so don’t waste your hard earned money

Just don’t

Had our 2 week annual holiday, this was our third visit to this hotel however first for 10 years. Loved the whole experience from the reception staff, waiters to animation team. Roger especially what a genuinely lovely person, very respectful and never passes you day or night always a hello and a smile. 
Can’t forget the chef nothing to much trouble food lovely and plenty choice. 
Loved the spa and even took advantage of a massage.

Will certainly return again although did  miss the ampetheatre as this allowed everyone to see the shows all the time. But hey can’t have everything the new pool is lovely. 


Great holiday 

This hotel is in very bad condition in my opinion should not be in operation.there aren’t any bedside lights toilet seat was broken carpet was filthy holes in walls generally would give you the creeps won’t be back

Don’t go here

These were taken on 10th May 2019. We had booked through Booking.com who’s pictures are not a true likeness, mine are. Now the battle to try and get a refund. My advice is to stay well away, always check all reviews prior to booking any hotel through booking.com

Looked like it belonged in a War Zone

Excellent for a couple of nights in Calais, clean, fresh comfortable bed, and good location - helpful staff. Only downside was bathroom - shower not hot only lukewarm - otherwise couldn’t fault for a budget hotel .

Brilliant hotel really good value for money very helpful brilliant location and a really lovely gentleman who runs it definitely recommend it you certainly would not be disappointed a very cosy and warm hotel
