We enjoyed a lovely 3 night stay at A Murreda as part of our honeymoon. Florence and Frank are excellent hosts. The small hotel is decorated beautifully. There is a lovely pool area perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach. Restaurants in beautiful Calvi are just about walkable (a leisurely 45 min walk, mostly along the beach). Frank and Florence were very pleased to help with recommendations for day trips and restaurants, including booking restaurants for us.
Breakfast was the best we had in Corsica - fresh fruit, freshly baked cake, yogurt, preserves, pastries, with the best coffee we had in Corsica (all served to us by Frank and Florence). Breakfast varied slightly each day and was a delight. 
A Murreda is perfect for couples - would be less good for families. Also don’t expect some of the services you might receive from a big hotel (e.g. transfers). The homely atmosphere more than makes up for that! We had a serene and relaxing stay here! 


Lovely stay in boutique hotel 

Without reservation we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at A Muredda and strongly recommend the establishment to others. A Muredda is conveniently located on the outskirts of Calvi.  This makes it convenient from the airport and points north. There is a fine picnic table, so we brought cold foods for dinner to the table, and enjoyed the view of the Citadel.

The room was clean and stylish.  The lamps are beautiful, homemade from driftwood and stone. The sink was a stone bowl I’d like to have at home. 

There are only four rooms, so there are few guests, and relatively private patios fronting the warm pool. The rooms are all in a row—I don’t believe there’s really any reason to prefer one room over another.

The hosts are engaging and charming. They speak fluent English, and are extraordinarily welcoming. Florence provided excellent suggestions for sight-seeing and restaurants. The breakfasts are exceptional.  Freshly squeezed orange juice, homemade jams (one from a native citrus fruit) and (gluten free) cheesecake were offered once.

I highly recommend Calvi (wish we spent more time) and the A Muredda is ideal. We’ll be back. I’m an avid bike rider and while I did not ride in Calvi, I can tell the environment is perfect for riding (climbing to the north through the small villages). I did go running through the nearby vineyards.  By the way, the wine (rose was the only one we tried) from Calvi is very good.

Stylish accommodation in Calvi

We spent 3 nights at this little bed & breakfast. Florence & Franc were welcoming, helpful and gracious in every way. Their property is beautiful and incredibly peaceful. The village of Calvi is fun to explore with excellent waterfront dining & cute shops. We loved our time here.

Fantastic

Recently we stayed for 3 nights in Calvi. On the internet we found a wonderful chambres d'hotes in the neighberhood of Pietramaggiore, just 2 kilometer from downtown Calvi. It turned out to be a very nice B&B operated by the lovely couple Frank and Florence who gave us a feeling of home away from home. The rooms are great as is the service. Only breakfast could be a little more extensive, with savory items like cheese and eggs. But overall we had a very nice time at A Muredda!

Wonderful B&B in Calvi

We stayed here for 4 nights in September The owners Florence and Franck were so friendly and helpful and gave us  advice on where to visit and eat.
The rooms were kept very clean and tastefully decorated  and there was a really nice pool with sun loungers where we enjoyed relaxing. Breakfasts were delicious with home made yogurt and cake. The centre of Calvi was walking distance and we ate there in the evenings. We really enjoyed staying here although it would have been helpful if we could have checked in a bit earlier.
