I travel for work playing music, so most of our year is spent in hotels. One of the things that I have missed for the last few years is the level of hospitality and serene settings of most of our accommodations in Europe. Kyriad hotel was no exception. Our hosts made us feel welcomed, and greeted us with kindness. The entire property is surrounded by a myriad of flowers and shrubs, all very well cared for, making for a beautiful morning in their outdoor lounging/breakfast area. Before leaving, our hosts found pictures of our band, and requested autographs from all of us. They made us feel like Led Zeppelin, but we are just a small band from New Orleans. Thanks from all of us in Eyehategod!!!

It is good to be back in France

Pre-arrival service was great as I was arriving after the front desk was closed I got instructions on how to get access to my room. The room itself is a typical motel style (ex campanile)n clean and no frills. Breakfast was decent for the type of hotel, from juice to eggs, to pastries, etc.. Checkout was a bit confusing, not realising that the payment was done automatically the receptionist attempted to charge me for 1 extra breakfast as the bill I was showing showed 1 room, 1 breakfast even though the room was booked B&B for 2 people. After further checking things got settled ok.

A place to sleep

A little disappointed (on the hottest night of the year) over the misleading references to air conditioning in the hotel details. The bedrooms have no air conditioning  other than the option to open a window or door.
That said, the price paid was very good value. Ample free and secure parking, plenty of hot water. We did not have time to sample the restaurant, but it looked good. Unfortunately, not enough has been done to disguise the fact that this hotel is a former tired old Campanile that has been repainted!

Rebranded Campanile

I recently attended this hotel in respect of a Regimental Association Weekend. My stay was for four nights under the guise of a Bed and Breakfast occupation. I was part of a party of approximately 36 persons of both genders and assortment of ages.  Whilst the accommodation was reasonably comfortable, I found it somewhat claustrophobic with sparce furniture and minimal number of facilities available. It became apparent during the booking in progress that this, a coach party appeared to be unchartered territory for the hotel. The party arrived at approximately 1800 hours on a Thursday evening and understandably sought some form of refreshments which was not an unreasonable request given that we had been travelling all day. Initially we were told that the kitchen and bar was closed and would not open that evening. Eventually after a degree of pressure by our group they relented and availed their kitchen/bar facilities to us. From here on in, in my opinion our group was far from welcome at the hotel, almost a nuisance.
In respect of breakfast this consisted of continental menu as well as their own version of an 'English' cooked breakfast. Whilst this was a welcome addition the standard of food was poor in preparation as well as that of presentation. It consisted of streaky bacon, some form of sausage and scrambled eggs which I can only guess that the 'eggs' were of a powder formular, all of it was tepid at best. When asked for assistance in such matters regarding the food the staff's response was far from helpful, they were almost reluctant to assist but did comply as they accepted it was their job, they certainly did not go the extra mile.

The hotel is listed as a 3 Star, I personally would give it 2 at best. Suffice to say I would not recommend this hotel and I will not be staying here again. 

Poor experience.

As this was formerly a Campanile hotel and is now Kyriad we expected a significant upgrade. Not so. The room had absolutely no hanging space for coats/clothing apart from a squint row of three unpainted wooden knobs on the INSIDE of the bathroom door. No shelving or drawers either and very little space to lay items from the pockets, make-up, odds and ends etc. We cannot speak for the dining as we only had breakfast which we considered very average. Would not visit again. 

Disappointed

Think about a Travelodge that was opened 50 years ago without much maintenance since. Moderately clean (bring your slippers, if you understand what I mean). Nicely surprised by breakfast with fresh croissant, yogourt, and ham. Another plus is the petrol station of the supermarket next door. OK for a quick night but not for much more.

Comfort of old Barracks

We arrived at this place after 11 hours travelling.  The male on the desk was less than unwelcoming. Our room was up a iron spiral staircase on the outside of the building. The same person was on duty the next morning when we went for Breakfast, which incidentally costs €9:50 per person. There were no cereals, apart from Co-Co pops. When we managed to request if the other cereal could be re-filled.....he very rudely said, ‘No more no more! ‘ There was also only 1egg left, there were no more of those either! The rooms were small, and uncomfortable. The bed was excruciatingly hard. There was no air-conditioning or heating, although the paperwork said there was. Even the heated towel rail wouldn’t get warm! There was a good supply of hot water, and, the location was convenient. But they are the only positives I can think of. My advice is...DON’T GO ThERE!  I wish I had seen the reviews before I booked to stay there.

Pontins is luxury in comparison!

Well what a disappointing stop off, boiling hot day no air conditioning in the room.
Door didn't lock very well, place looked generally tired and needs a face lift.
Would not recommend staying here, better value elsewhere I am sure.
Wish I had checked reviews before I booked.
