Owner not honest booking since 10/2018 arrived at the scene with 5-year-old girl room refurbished stayed on the sidewalk no pity for dishonest people looking for another hotel food he doesn't want to pay the occasional expenses

Bad reception

Grumpy owner unhelpful and miserable, place smelt of mould, towels and linen you could snap. Booking.com removed it after so many complaints. Even after pointing out all the faults i was still charged but booking.com refunded me for the room and a bit extra.

Would not send the dog here

Do not stay here avoid at all costs, would rather sleep in the car. Rude owner, bedding and towels like cardboard. The place stunk and looks to hopefully, be the last line in a series of failed attempts at running a business.

AVOID

We liked it! Essential room, authentic taste: no TV, no Wi-Fi, no bathroom products, but spacious and very clean room, with free parking inside the structure. Wonderful breakfast: croissant, fresh bread and 6 types of jam prepared directly by the owner, with beer correction, plus coffee and juice. Very good apples and cinnamon! Underground jazz to accompany breakfast. The owner also speaks English and gave us excellent suggestions for the destinations we had planned, recommending us some charming seaside villages. Suitable for those looking for room and breakfast, then continue to Rouen and Upper Normandy.

Recommended for those seeking the essential at the highest level

The rooms are very spacious and suitable for families with small children. The bed is excellent: I slept there like I hadn't slept in a long time. The breakfast is delicious and well served. And this craft beer... wonderful.

It's a great place to stay, near downtown Canteleu.

Arriving in Canteleu, 5 km from Rouen, we take possession of the room at the Brasserie du Chant du Loup, a break & breakfast with annexed cellar for craft beer production. Free private parking. The room is tidy and clean, but soap, shampoo and hair dryer you have to take them from home, no wifi connection, no TV in the room, but private bathroom. You sleep well but in the morning wake up is obligatory: the underground road is busy. Breakfast based on cakes and jams prepared by the owner, characteristic of jams: a beer base. Prices in line with you are offered. No AMEX.

I don't recommend it at all. Bad reception, very dirty kitchenette, miserable breakfast, real scam. The only positive point is the bedding. Too expensive in view of the lack of quality.

I'm pissed.

So I called the owner to ask him if it was a problem that we arrived late enough (saying that the concert started at 8pm). He agreed and asked me to send back a confirmation email, which I did, still recalling the time of the concert. He said no problem, tonight. We arrived a little before 11pm. The door was closed, no one had tried to contact me. I tried to call the owner several times without success.

On the occasion of a family party, many of us stayed in a WE! Breakfast is useless (except jam) the bathroom needs serious cleaning of the joints. The bedding is good, however. The manager is not looking to trade with us. With the current competition (airbnb in particular) I think some establishments are worried about doing something like this!

Avoid It Absolutely

We stayed one night in a simple but comfortable four-bedroom, quiet location, very friendly property and good breakfast, great location to visit Rouen, hard to reach with the tom tom.
