Ken and Linda are the best hosts in the world! so nice and helpful. The house is very nice, clean. Very useful kitchen to use. The swimming pool big and warm and the breakfast fantastic! A great place to relax and to visit Dordogne.

We stayed at Le Relais du Pech for a week at the end of July 2019. The hosts were the loveliest and the most helpful. They made us feel welcome straight away. They gave us a lot of information and recommended a few places (to visit and to eat). So a big thank you to Ken and Linda!
We spent a week there. There is a swimming pool, which is great, very clean and safe. Sun beds available and the area around the pool was clean. There were a few pool floats which my son loved! This was a great way for us to relax at the end of a busy day!
The room and bathroom were clean, and got cleaned every day. The room had a smart TV, with Netflix available which was a plus!
A kitchen is available to guests, which contains all the essentials and more – from fridge, oven and microwave to kettle, pots and cutleries – and that allowed us to have dinner there. This is not usually available in guest house so I was really impressed with this and this was an excellent choice for us. There were also some board games.
The breakfast was served by the landlady, with a great choice of pastries, cereals and hot drinks, fresh fruits and dairy. Always lots to eat and good quality!
The location is good and central, with lots of attractions within 30-40 min.
We would definitely go back to this region of France, as there are still so many things we haven’t seen, and the destination for our stay would definitely be Le Relais du Pech!


You will be met by a very friendly English couple , Ken & Linda, who bought the property about 13 years ago.  The house is about a 2 min drive from each the main Souillac/Sarlat road. The house is in an elevated position so you get excellent views of the surrounding hillside. There is a very good pool & loungers. Also the is a communal kitchen that you can use. The room was comfortable & we had a very pleasant stay. 

We could not have asked for a better place to stay during our fist visit to France. Ken &Linda were the most welcoming, knowledgeable hosts. They treated you like family always willing to help with any needs or questions. There knowledge of the area was invaluable as it saved a lot of time in finding the best restaurants and areas sights.
The breakfast was delicious and always welcomed in the morning. 
Beautiful location and wonderful people. 
We will most certainly stay here again. We miss Maurice too.

My wife and I stayed at Le Relais du Pech, for four nights at the end of August 2018. It was our second stay and was fantastic again.
Linda and Ken are brilliant hosts. They have made a great surround for the swimming pool, which is a lovely place to relax after a day of sightseeing. The rooms are really well kept and have a great view. Breakfast (which are brilliant) can be taken indoors or outside depending on your preference.
Linda and Ken have great suggestions on places to visit in the immediate and wider area, which is very helpful. We really enjoyed our visit again and will undoubtedly be visiting again, cant wait.

Ken and Linda are very welcoming hosts with a vast knowledge of the local area. 

The accommodation was great and to a very high standard, with fabulous spotless and modern kitchen facilities.

The breakfasts were superb with fresh croissant and pastries, cereal, fruit juice, etc...

Excellent heated pool.

Fantastic area for exploring on bikes, we did 100k a day seeing all the wonderful sights.

Maurice the dog who was an additional bonus, most entertaining chasing lizards.

Great restaurants in the local area, Ken is happy to book these for you.

My wife and I visited Le Relais du Pech from 1st to 3rd July 2017. The property is situated very close to the Dordogne river and the towns of Sarlat and Souillac. There is so much to see and do in the area. Our interests are cycling, walking & sightseeing. There is plenty of each to do here.

Our hosts Linda and Ken made us very welcome from the moment we arrived. Parking is excellent. The rooms at Le Relais each have a fantastic outlook over the countryside and are really well furnished. Our room was spotless, which was great. The swimming pool is a great extra and the water is lovely and warm Linda and Ken have a wealth of information about places to go to and visit in the area. The property really is well situated and there is an excellent kitchen for visitors to use. The breakfasts are also really good and can be taken indoors or outdoors. Free wifi was great and the signal strength was very good.

We will definitely be going back, but next time it will be a longer stay.

This was one of the best and most enjoyable holidays we have had. Ken and Linda were brilliant such lovely welcoming friendly people with a vast knowledge of the local area.
