Thalazur Carnac

My wife and I were in Brittany after a business trip and I had wanted to visit the Carnac megaliths for years. We are both fans of spas so this was the perfect hotel for us. We booked a room overlooking the lake behind the hotel and it was just beautiful. We would watch the sunset each night. There is a land bridge that goes over to a small island and it was a wonderful walk with all sorts of birds including swans. It was centrally located to everything we wanted to do. We used the local Carnac tuktuk to drive us up to the stones and we walked the length of the alignments. The hotel is just 5 minutes from the beach and we found several very good eateries! The spa is very popular, and they were very booked up, but my wife managed to get a booking for a facial. The saltwater pool is something we've never encountered before but we enjoyed it every day, and even took a water aerobics class. The restaurant was very good including the breakfast and several of the staff really made the difference for us. Brieuc who I think is the restaurant manager, was really helpful for me because I'm a vegetarian and in Brittany and France that is not the easiest thing to be. He went out of his way to help us out and was also very kind and friendly speaking very good English. And Roman who worked in the bar made me my very special drink! Laure was our contact at the front desk, and she was indispensable during our stay suggesting things to do, ways to get around etc. When hotel staff are friendly and helpful that is what really makes our trips perfect, and this hotel was perfect. Our stay here was amazing, Carnac is a beautiful little beach town, not unlike where we live. I wish we would've stayed another four or five days because there was so much to do there, and hopefully someday we will return. Merci beaucoup!
