Very nice and calm chambres d’hôtes in the Luberon.  Very friendly and helpful owners.  Enjoyed the breakfast, the terrace with jacuzzi and view, our room with terrace.  On the top of the mountain, near Caseneuve, at some distance of other villages and restaurants.

Nice and calm place - very friendly and helpful owners

We stayed at Chez Lisett for 3 nights in September 2020. We came with high expectations due to the many excellent reviews. The winding road leading up to Caseneuve is very picturesque, the hotel is surrounded by a huge garden that is very  well kept, it offers a tennis court at no additional charge and it has sufficient parking spaces. We had ordered dinner for the night of our arrival which was good but not spectacular. Breakfast was ok, it was your typical buffet with cereals, cheeses and cold cuts. On the first day we were offered fried or scrambled eggs but on the following two days there was nobody around to ask if we wanted any egg. 
Our main complaint though would be that the level of luxury the rooms offer does not justify prices around 200 EUR a night in our opinion. Our room was not very cosy due to the tiled floor, plus it did not offer much privacy because the staff and other guests were frequently passing by right in from of our patio. In addition, just across the yard there was some construction work going on and the builders also had a full view into our room. 
The layout of the restaurant/swimming pool building we found kind of weird too. Who wants to be in the pool if five meters away people are watching you while having breakfast? Not to mention that the pool was covered most of the time anyway, although I am sure they would have removed the cover had we asked for it.

Not as good as expected

Caseneuve is a lovely quiet village.  There is a restaurant in town called the "Sanglier Parasseux" (the lazy boar) that we didn't get a chance to eat at which looked really quite good.  

This hotel is a little out of town down a long driveway.  The views from the jacuzzi are spectacular, but the rooms themselves don't have that view.  

The rooms are clean and have everything you need.  We found the bed too soft, but the pillows were good. The air conditioning was incredibly loud - like a big industrial machine.  The bathroom was huge and the shower really really good.  

The swimming pool is nice and would be great in winter; for summer it's a pity that it is inside (although the roof does open a little).

Breakfast is taken by the pool.  It's a buffet.  There is a good choice of smallgoods and cheeses and pastries, but the cereal selection is limited.  Our first day we were not offered any eggs, which was disappointing because I eat eggs every day and for 220 euros a night I would have expected eggs. The second day when I popped my head in the door of the kitchen, we were offered eggs - freshly collected from the hens that wander around - and they were delicious and fresh!  For the price paid, it would be good if they offered everyone eggs, to be honest.  

All in all, a good stay.

Charming setting but not perfect

Real relax and real taste of provence in a lovely nest with all conforts and a welcoming lady will allow you spent your time in a french way.  You can use the two pools for relaxing - Far from sounds, crowd. Inside countryside with perfume of flowers.

The real taste of provence

Stayed here for just over a week in August with my wife and 2 kids (6 & 11). Had a really great time and would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends:
* Very comfortable and spacious rooms
* Great food - breakfast and dinner - much of the food sourced from Lisett's on site farm
* Really relaxed atmosphere - lisett and her staff really went out of their way to make everything perfect
* The ground and facilities are great for kids (and adults)
* Beautiful property and location

Excellent Stay

Lisett as owner is a perfect host. Very friendly and tries to do everything for the guest to feel welcome and like at home.

The rooms are high quality ones. WiFi Internet with excellent speed and connection quality. Large and modern bed, very beautiful bath and a nice terrace.

Besides that, one of the best things at this place is the cuisine of Lisett. She cooks dinners which you can book for a very fair price and those meals are high quality ones like in nearby top restaurants.

The wine selection is wide and again a big plus to the location.

All in all a perfect place, in relation to the price...You want find a better stay in a good 4-star hotel anywhere around the Luberon.
