A neglected small hotel in a quiet village. Tired furniture, run down exterior, unique plumbing, limited parking.
Good restaurant food (although the moules that they are renowned for were off the menu), pleasant breakfast.
At €35 per night, before breakfast, I guess you get what you pay for.

We recently stayed for 1 night which was an experience. The place could benefit from a little tlc but it does not lack some degree of charm. Free wifi reception good, rooms adequate, bathroom would benefit from an update. Shower was a tight fit, but then I am not 'small', good water flow. Rooms certainly value for what you are paying. Food was also of very good standard and again good value. Would certainly consider staying again if in the area

Veru Rustic

We have always stayed in Castets on our way from Normandy to Spain.  However over the years the choice of accommodation has got less and less.  Obviously a town in decline.  Might have to be the last time we stop here, though not sure of an alternative.  Without having checked Trip Advisor before we left, this hotel was the only one still existing in the centre of town.  We had stayed here once before and we remembered it as adequate and so it was.  Wifi reception was excellent in the bar, outside on the terrace and in the bedroom.  Our room, though small was clean and sufficed for one night.  The shower was hot and large enough to be comfortable.  For 37€ for the double room, it would be churlish to complain.  As there wasn't anywhere else to eat, we had dinner.  Again for 12€ for the 3 course menu of the day and 11€ for a bottle of wine we went to bed content.  Unfortunately, one of our neighbours had a nasty cough which kept not only him awake.  Breakfast was the usual French affair at 5€ per person.  All in all an adequate one night stay.
