Janelle, Bruce (& Max ) were more than perfect hosts. They were thoughtful, informative  and accommodating, helping us out on occasions when we really needed help. Thank you for a very relaxing and memorable visit to your lovely home & town.

Visiting for family wedding

Janelle & Bruce welcomed us in their lovely renovated old bakery, rooms were very clean and the house & terrace were beautifully decorated. The terrace is the best place to hide from the sun and eat your breakfast, read a book in the shade or drink a crispy glass of local white wine after a hot day. Bruce & Janelle have the amazing ability to truly know what hospitality is about: thinking and caring for their guests before the guests have thought of their needs & wants themselves, really taking care of us and making us feel at home. The morning breakfasts were fresh and set-up when we walked from our room to the connected terrace, which was a great experience. They even made us breakfast for take away at 05:00 AM in the morning & waved us goodbye when our plane left early, even though breakfast is typically served between 08:00 & 10:00 AM! Great local wines & artisan beers available as well. They were always available for questions, a chit chat, info, making reservations or anything else which we needed. Their dog Max was really sweet and a great addition to the B&B. All in all, would highly recommend the experience since it was the perfect stay in Caunes-Minervois!

Perfect Stay

Janelle and her husband Bruce couldn't have been better hosts.  Our family of 5 stayed for 3 nights, and enjoyed their company immensely.  The first day, Janelle took us on a walk through nearby vineyards and through the city, with their precious dog, Max, along too.    

They helped us book reservations at two restaurants, and accompanied us to the hard-to-find little grocery store.  

Their terrace was beautiful and very peaceful.  Wish we had another day in town just to relax and recharge on their terrace.

Amazing hospitality

The location of this inn was perfect, on a picturesque narrow village street near the center of town.  The room was perfectly appointed.  We got a tour of all the rooms and each one was charming in its own unique way.  Jenelle our host went out of her way to make sure everything about our stay was perfect.  She made recommendations on what to do and where to eat, and walked us to the restaurants!  Jenelle and Bruce also invited us to join them for a walk through this wonderful little town, where they pointed out the things to see and introduced us to their many friends we encountered on the walk.  What a treat.  Breakfast was exceptional and very well presented.

The room is very clean, the bed very comfy.  There is a small terrace which would be nice for a pre dinner drink.  As the restaurants were closed, our hosts cooked an excellent dinner for us. It was a great break away after a long year.  There are some interesting walks visiting old marble quarries not far from the village

What a welcome

I really could not fault this delightful B&B.  My room was peaceful and relaxing, with tasteful but simple decor.  There's a secluded terrace to enjoy the quiet evenings, and a guest room to watch televsion or simply sit and relax when the evenings are a bit cooler.

Top marks for breakfast - I was thoroughly spoiled with the attentive service.  Great hosts who couldn't have been kinder and more helpful.  Looking forward to a return visit.

A blissful interlude

Everything about our stay was about as good as is could be - welcoming and warm and the house has been made ultra comfortable without destroying its character. The weather was poor and unusual for September but we none the less enjoyed our stay. Tiam and Anthony recommended some excellent eating places and were great hosts.

Great atmoshphere, clean rooms, great service in a hotel of character

We had a wonderful stay at Ian & Anthony's place. It was definitely worth taking a little detour on our way to Carcassonne: spotless, top-floor rooms (our kids had a separate room with a little terrace); a great breakfast and the feeling of being frequent guests, although it was our first time.

One of the highlights of our week in Southern France: not to be missed!

What a beautiful surprise

Stayed at L’Ancienne Boulangerie overnight. Lovely place. Extremely comfortable and very friendly and accommodating hosts. They were great with our young son Jack . Very nice village to visit with restaurants and bars. Intend to return.
