house was excellent. 3 bedroom, so actually for 6 instead of the 8 people they say, unless you want to sleep on a foldoutbed in the living room.
gated so private. but not to much privacy: houses are pretty close to each other. didn't get the hotel concept really, but who cares. it was very nice

great lodging!

We booked this place for our family holiday in May this year.
The complex was built in 2009, so no building activities on site anymore. The compound is ready but when you drive/walk down to the main road, hardly any villa is finished; bit of a messy impression, but as said, that's outside of the compound. 
The villas are nicely decorated and rather well equiped (good kitchen with excellent sized american refrigirator. Good and clean pool (cleaned once a week) and small but ok garden with artificial lawn.

We booked a villa via a touroperator and were offered a decent price (€ 1.800 for a fourtnight; linnen, towels, cleaning, tourist-tax etc. excluded). It was May, so the offer was quite good value for money. However, in high season they charge some € 3.750 for a one week stay which really is far too much.
Service is friendly. However, we had booked a villa with a view but the view was restricted (to say the least) by a conifer hedge which had not been attended to by a gardner for quite some time. So no view at all and despite several promises of the reception, the gardner never showed up in the fourtnight we stayed there.

We booked a 6-8 prs. villa. But the villa was just not suited for 6, let alone 8. Casseroles were to small for a larger group, cutlery was too limited, irregular number of too small glasses and only 4 loungers near the pool.
And if leave a choice of cleaning the villa yourselves when leaving, it would be nice to offer some cleaning equipment as wel...

All in all it left us with mixed feelings. Probably nicer villas to be booked if you search the internet.

Nice villa at a compound with a few minor points

For a villla with a private pool in a desirable location these villas are good value. For a family they would be ideal buit for a group of 3 couples as we were there were a few issues. We took the 3 bedroom villa but the soundproofing was non existant so very hard to get a good night's sleep. The villa was well decorated but there was a constant smell of drains the whole week which despite several attempts by the helpful maintenance guy to fix, never worked. The free wi-fi was an added bonus but we often found it impossible to use as there are a maximum number of users at any one time so trying to log on during the day proved difficult. The garden was small but pleasant as was the pool - again for a family it would be fine. The compound of villas is about 800 metres uphill for the beach at Cavalaire and the same distance to the nearest boulangerie etc. The villas are in a residential area which currently has a lot of construction going on but generally it is quite a pleasant area and the views are great depending on which villa you are allocated. We were lucky to have the most private one with the best views as some of them are quite open and overlooked. The kitchen was excellent but there was only 1 cup per person so could have done with some more crockery. Staff at reception were very friendly & helpful and they had a selection of games you could borrow. Comfortable lounge area with sofa-bed but it would be difficult to sqeeze an extra 2 people in (3 bed is supposed to be for 6-8 people). For a family holiday this would be a great choice and for a week it was totally adequate and very pleasant.

Good for the price

We are located in villa nr 21. From the first impression a great villa which is good situated. Staying there for some hours, many thinks are not working properly. Dishwasher is not working, several light are not working, outside door cannot be closed, light falling almost from the wall above your bed, WiFi connect ( note payed €30,- for one week) is very very poor or doesn’t work at all, etc. etc.

Unfortunately we are not able to discuss this with anyone. Reception is closed and emergency nr is not willing to respond.


Bad experience 

Booked my vacation here based on the pictures I saw on their website. Seemed to be a nice place with a swimming pool and climate control. 

2 weeks before I had to go, I read some reviews on the internet and apparantly the pool is not heated anymore (not to bad), but there is no Airco anymore. Altough the AC units are clearly visible on the pictures. 

Because my wife just had surgery and she wanted some form of comfort, I double checked with Estivel. I received the following answer: "We don't have Airco service anymore…" 

I asked to cancel my vacation but this was a no-go for Estivel, I would have to pay the complete amount. I have to be honest, we could cancel 14 days upfront and I asked to cancel 12 days upfront, but I had to wait on some mails from them first. 

Anyhow, after 4-5 mails and not any form of comprehension for the situation of my wife, they wouldn't cancel my vacation and they told me that the pictures are not tied to a contract !!! So this means they could as well post pictures of a penthouse in Ibiza, and when you arrive there is only a barn... 

I also told them that I was willing to pay an administrative fee for their "trouble" as well. Still nothing. Eventually I checked their website and I saw that they have another residence in "the Provence", with AC. I doublechecked it first, this was more or less the same price and still bookable. I asked if I could change my booking from Cavailare to this location. They still wouldn't do anything! This would have been a good solution for them and for me. 

The fact that they didn't had any form of respect for our situation and they wouldn't even change it to the other location is for me ridiculous ! 

They WON'T GIVE ANY FORM OF SERVICE... Just checked my VISA, and yes they charged me the complete amount of + €2600 !!! Worst experience I ever had !
