All the ingredients are there for a very good stay: warm reception, very pleasant rooms (very clean and in line with the photos), a beautiful and very quiet place, simply exceptional breakfasts in the heat of the wood stove...Everything will count: holidaymakers looking for rest, hikers, cyclists.

It's a very nice address.

This is the second time we've been to the Bassets. The reception is always great and the breakfasts are exceptional. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and the place is great for walking.

Very welcome

A spacious room, well decorated and very clean. A very large lunch with high-quality products, some of which are homemade. We ate pancakes and praline brioche.

My sister and I spent three nights in the Bassets and we can only recommend this wonderful address: warm welcome from Mrs Jolivet, comfortable and tastefully decorated room, a very rich, original breakfast made up of good local produce and homemade pancakes or pastries.

Excellence and refinement

Very clean and welcoming guest room.Very shower room.Extremely quiet place.This house is a warmly recommended place.The bed is good and wide with lots of pillows.The TV point, but it didn't bother us at all.A possible branch with a mobile phone and certainly the internet.We are delighted to have spent two nights there.Excellent view of the surroundings.

There is something enchanting about country life.  People grow things, farm animals and the end of the day must go to bed feeling they have achieved something.  This is what we feel when we stay at a place like Jolivet.  We were not disappointed.  Our accommodation was clean and the bed linen inviting.  The outdoor area was peaceeful and the outlook beautiful. Very quiet except for the occasional sound of a dog barking in the distance and other animals settling down for the night or the church bell ringing out.  A wonderful place seemingly a long way from anywhere but within 5 minutes drive from La Clayette with Boulangeries and supermarkets, plus its own Chateau.  In addition to this we were treated to the most wonderful French breakfast the next morning which was unexpected but very welcome.  There was no way we could eat all the crepes, fresh berries, yoghurt , jams etc, croissants, mixed nuts, breads....! We loved this experience and if you like the idea of getting away from it all,  you should try Jolivet.

A sanctuary - beautiful!

Stayed for 4 nights.  Its situated in a small village enjoying peace and calm.  There are 3 adult rooms and 1 childrens twin room all individually decorated and colour coordinated. We received a warm welcome and very comfortable room overlooking fields and Mount Dun.  Room was very clean and spacious.  Fabulous breakfasts of various pastries, homemade jams, cheese and freshly made crepes - scrumptious!  Guests have use of kitchen with oven, microwave and fridge with sitting area.  Plenty of outside space with tables and chairs.  Ideally situated for walking and sightseeing the area.  Would definitely recommend.

The rooms are decorated with attention to detail. The colourful tuning can be found even at the breakfast table. The rooms are very clean and you feel comfortable right away. The hostess is a very friendly, attentive and thoughtful woman. Unfortunately, our French was very bad, so we couldn't talk to her very much. The breakfast is recommended. In addition to homemade marmalades and crepes, you can also find fruit, cheese and not to mention croissants. In the garden there is a sandbox for the children to slide around. In the evening there are candlestick tables available to finish the day. In our room the bathroom and toilet were open, so that the children could have a narrow area of doors.

Romantic accommodation

We spent two days of pure relaxation in the beautiful French countryside and the fantastic Chambres d'Hotes Jolivet. A beautiful countryside rustic, cozy, clean and orderly. During our stay we visited some nearby localities but it was also nice to stroll in the surrounding countryside and discover villages outside the usual tourist routes.

A pearl in the country

We stayed in this area as a stop over en-route to Monaco from Saint Marcan, and was a very pleasant surprise! Everything was clean, neat, and Bernadette was a great host even though I did not know any French! :-)  Its in a very nice are in south burgundy - very close to a few Chateaus & the Beaujolais area.
