Les Gites du Bouyssou is one of my favorite places on Earth! Everything about it is peaceful and heavenly. The owners, Sylvie and Pascal, are more than accommodating. They are so incredibly kind and go out of their way to make your stay nice. I have been here three times because I love it so much! They also have six cats and two dogs who love people and are super friendly. I cannot express how much I love this place :)

BEST PLACE EVER!

Thanks again to Sylvie, Pascal and Lily for a beautiful late summer visit. This was our 3rd time here, making it a must-visit during our annual family vacation in the southwest of France. 
Our Gite was immensely charming, clean, and very quiet.
The atmosphere at Le Bouyssou is what gets us back.
Beautiful gardens, incredible views, an inviting pool, and the clearest night sky ever beckon.

It is nestled in the rolling hills near Albi, Rodez, and Naucelle. 
Medieval villages seem to abound here. We visited the extraordinary 'village in the sky' Cordes sur Ciel. Visit the Jardin des Paradis while there.
And while I usually like to use a hotel as a base for visiting surrounding areas, Les Gites du Bouyssou offers a compelling case to just relax and enjoy the property.

If in southwest France, Le Bouyssou is very much worth seeking out.



Another Great Visit..

We only had a few days to visit the French countryside, but because of Le Bouyssou this was one of the greatest trips ever.

Initially we booked only one night, but after we reached the location we changed our plans and booked another night over.

The place is surrounded by beautiful green hills, it's quiet and peaceful, and it's a delight to be there away from the noisy towns. We also loved our cottage - in a rustic style, but very beautiful, clean and functional.

Lili, Sylvie and Pascal were very welcoming and friendly and gave us great advice about the places to visit around - and we've had a great time playing with Arsouille and Batman (the family's dogs) in the back garden :)

PS: they have a few cats too.. :)

It's a location you can't miss - definitely recommended!

This place made us happy 😃

My husband and I spent several nights at Le Bouyssou and it was sublime. The cities in France are beautiful but it was so refreshing to spend some time in the French countryside. This is a very special place. It's beautiful and tranquil, surrounded by rolling hills and valleys that are dotted with medieval villages. There are many day trips you can take from here: Albi, Cordes sur Ciel and Najac are a short drive away and well worth the trip. If you want some down time there's lots to do on the property. It was a bit too cool for the pools, but we made use of the boules court and the ping-pong table and the gardens are lovely. There are some wonderful markets in the nearby towns - like something out of a Peter Mayle book. The owners were warm and welcoming and eager to answer our questions and help us out. Our room was lovely and I haven't slept that well in ages! Plenty of space and very comfortable in case the weather isn't ideal. We saw a couple of the other rooms and they were equally as nice. All in stunning stone buildings with wood beams in the ceilings. The views from Le Bouyssou are stunning, too - the stars at night and the Pyrenees in the distance during the day. I would love to go back!

Idyllic French countryside.

My wife and I spent 3 nights here in early May and we had an extraordinary time. For visitors seeking a very French countryside experience, Le Bouyssou fits the bill. 
The weather hadn't really co-operated during our visit, so we couldn't make the most of the swimming pools, but their gardens and the surrounding area kept us going. 
Our 'Gite' was very clean, fully laid out, with kitchen, bathroom with shower and a very
comfortable bed. Because we were well out in the country at night the sky was dark with millions of stars shining their light. On our second morning to the south we could see the Pyrenees south of Toulouse reaching for the sky. 
For younger visitors there is much to do with games to play, and neighbouring farms. 
A grocery store, and markets are available in nearby Naucelle and several medieval villages and their castles are close-by. 
Hosts Sylvie and Pascal were gracious and attentive, and were very helpful with sightseeing tips and a very good restaurant recommendation. And thankfully for me, they speak English quite well.

Lately I have been thinking about our visit there and it was incredible. We highly recommend it. We do hope to return.

A most authentic French-country experience..

We spent 5 days and 4 nights here, and loved every minute of it. For city dwellers, it's a beautiful change - views that go on and on (we could even see the Pyrenees some days), wonderful silence at night and more stars than we ever see at home.

It's a lovely property, with lots of room to wander around and games to play. Our cabin was a great combination of country with the touches that make it comfortable - fridge/stove/tv and most importantly a very comfortable bed!

We made side trips to Naucelle for the farmers market, to Albi to sightsee and Najac to wander the town and dine by the river. 

Le Bouyssou is definitely a place that we're going to return to, often! Sylvie & Pascal are wonderful and delightful hosts and work hard to make sure everyone is enjoying their stay.
