All I know about the hotel is that it 2 star with rooms per person at 30 Euros.
The location is in Le Charpenay about 800 metres from the true summit of the Col des Sauvages at 7 hundred and something metres above sea level. It looks insignificant and slightly unappealing on the outside but has excellent views down and across the valley behind if one can sit on the terrace. It was too cold at 4C when I went to eat there on a Saturday lunchtime. 
The inside has been modernised with pale blue and white predominant in the scheme of things. There is a large blue and white plastic wall/screen that divides the "bar" or "locals" area from the restaurant. It provides privacy if not a thrill at the excellent decor. The chairs are wooden straight backs which mat cause some discomfort. The menu includes a midday menu du jour at 13Euros, a la carte and three fixed price multiple choice menus. The top price was 30 Euros for, starter, fish, meat, cheese and desert - impressive. We chose the 25 Euro one. I was limited in my choice as my medical restrictions denied me the escargots but the terrine was home made and tasty, and the duck delicious in its juice and mushroom sauce. The desert was a medley with no surprises. 
Madam serves with an amused smile at my French and food restrictions. She however understood and had the sauce changed on the duck to comply. We stayed and talked well after the other diners had moved on and nobody came to hurry us out.
Toilet unisex and clean.

Restaurant Only Review - Good and Un-pretentious: Do Not Judge it on its Appearance.

Cheap pretentiousness hotel for a 'stop on the way'.
Only disadvantage: shared toilets.
