Relatively new, well equiped rooms in a typical house of the Ardèche. Unfortunately along the very busy D86. You better ask for the maisonette at the swimming pool, which is in the backyard. Very friendly, helpful owner. Private parking and garage for bikes. 
Good hotel, but not for an extensive stay.

Excellent hotel for a short stay

Driving from Norway to Spain we found this lovely place at Booking.com and we didn't regret choosing this Hotel/B&B. We got our own little house bye the pool. The house was nicely renovated with all the facilities included. Our dog got nice space for the cage, double bed was comfortable and the big bathroom was very nice. We can highly recommend this place only 15 minutes away from river Rohne and the highway.

The reviews for this hotel are grossly outdated (most from 2011).  The owner apparently passed on the hotel/restaurant to her daughter and son-in-law ( I may be somewhat wrong in my info, but I gather this from reviews on "Logis", thourhg which I booked this hotel). The place today is not what any of the reviews claim. The restaurant's menu is very limited and grossly overpriced, probably because it is the only real restaurant in (well, near) Viviers.  There is no place  in the shower stall (no tub, but OK) to put your shampoo bottle or soap.  Our room, at least, had not room-darkening curtain, even though it faced out on a street light on the road by the hotel.  When I checked out, the owner (wife) billed us for a meal we had not had.  I do not have any idea of how she arrived at the amount of the bill since we had absolutely not eaten anything there for dinner.  The breakfast we had the morning we checked out was pitiful and priced three times what we would have paid at a cute cafe in town that we had eaten at the day before.  The owners are pleasant, though, for what that's worth.

A nice small historic town, with the hotel situated just on the outskirts.
we arrived in the afternoon and were a little hungry.
Michele our perfect host put together a small tasting plate of local cheeses, plus a homemade olive tapernade that was superb. She then choose a lovely local white wine to help us devour the tasty offerings. We stayed at her restaraunt for dinner that night and once again she helped us out with the french menu and her good english translation. Another great selection of local food and wines.
Our room was lovely, with great a bed and comfortable mattress.
It had been recently renovated and had new bathroom with a sepearate toilet.
Michele also helped withall of our tourist enquires, giving us some local knowledge on places to see and visit.

Lovely town, Great Hotel, Fantastic Food.!!

I stayed here in September one evening whilst walking along the old pilgrim route to Arles. Arriving tired and with my rucksack I wondered what sort of reception I'd get. The answer was a warm welcome, smiles and laughter, being shown straight up to my room (great rooms) and later some advice on the best routes the following morning. Dinner was everything you hope for in France; great food, friendly service and excellent ambience sitting outside under the shade of the trees. Madame brought forward breakfast half an hour the following morning so I could leave at 7.30 (she wouldn't hear of my departing on a long walk without something to eat) and I was offered a soirée étape (special deal for pilgrims!).
Even without this, excellent accommodation, food, and overall value. 
She also serves a great pastis.......

If you are in this part of France it can be tricky to know which hotel to stay in as there are a lot of mediocre ones. This one is superb. It is in the gorgeous little town of Viviers (very historic). There is plenty of car parking. It is quiet. The lady who owns the place speaks English and is very welcoming. The rooms are very clean and tidy. Bathroom emaculate. Lavendar scented toliet paper. The bed is the most comfortable (no more bad back for me). And for dinner, go to the restaurant, it is 5 star (see my other review on that). A small hotel, only about 5 rooms. Just bliss.
