The warmth and spontaneity of the welcome was a great start!  Nothing was too much trouble for the entirely customer-focused staff team who keep the site very tidy indeed.

The site is terraced, the top two are shaded by mature and well tended trees, the bottom level is on the south bank of the Loire. The view across the river are magnificent and no photograph will do it justice.

The site is 200m from the edge of the town where cafés and restaurants are plentiful and, in the opposite direction, the canal port offers lovely walks and a very pleasant bar and restaurant too. For the rugby enthusiast, the local stadium is less than 1km south. 

The wine-growing areas of Pouilly Fumé and Sancerre are a comfortable 40 minute drive north and well worth the excursion.

We spent a delightful week here and will definitely return.

A delightful sight, extremely well managed with spotlessly clean and heated sanitary facilities.

We required the disabled facilities, they were adjacent to the disabled toilet/ shower room. The facilities in there were heated and warm with a proper seat for the shower. All good even if not brand new. Good value too and the bar was open late in the season.

Busy but spacious site

Wonderful little site, very friendly staff, very good facilities,  very good value. Nice and quiet. Perfect stopover before we headed to annecy. Games room, paella night, friendly atmosphere,  definitely stay again and can recommend with confidence 

Lovely site , perfect location 

Having read the previous review we approached with a degree of trepidation but were pleasantly surprised. 
I’d agree that the facilities are a bit tired and in need of a refurb but they were certainly clean and my showers were warm if not hot. Main gripe would you had to continually press a button to keep water flowing. There was a drinking water tap on our pitch. 
It’s a big busy site and people only seem to stay for a night or two. The pitches are a good size and shaded by mature trees. I did find then sound of dogs and crying children a bit of an issue but slept ok. 
The location is in a suburb of the town about 2-3 miles from the centre; we felt safe though clearly not very posh. Big supermarket nearby We enjoyed cycling in the Marne Valley and eating in the town centre but would agree it’s not the most exciting place in France.

Alright really

Stayed with family in a rented (fixed caravan) with friends who where in their caravan. Campsited is located close to varous sited of interest and close to infrastructure. The shared facilities are a bit tired but the overall imprssion is nice and the staff is really nice.

Nice Stay

We stayed here for 1 night. It most definitely is not a 4 star campsite. Facilities are filthy, cold showers, cold water for washing up. The only drinking water tap we could find was situated next to and above the chemical disposal area. Not wanting to risk fecal matter in our drinking water we left the campsite early morning. The area isn’t that nice and after report of break ins we slept with our van locked. Couldn’t wait to leave the site, wish we had just carried on with the drive to Calais. Definitely would not recommend this site, avoid at all costs.

Avoid this campsite!

This place is run down and not pleasant. At best its a one night stop heading back north. The showers are filthy and so are  the toilets. The town itself is not great with not a great deal to do or visit.

Chalons en Champagne

We stayed at this campsite on Saturday/Sunday night, 29/30 July. During the night there was a series of thefts from upwards of 10 campervans and tents, all of which were actually occupied at the time of the thefts. It was apparent that the thieves were interested only in money, modern mobile phones and jewellery, although my tatty and very worn Salomon training shoes were also taken! The campsite is in the suburbs of the town. I would advise people not to use this campsite as it is easy for thieves to access the site. There are no CCTV cameras in the site, so we were unable to see exactly what had happened. The police attended the campsite on the Sunday morning.

We had booked for a stop over from the South of France.
Pitch was lovely and big.
Facilities were good, toilet block clean.
A great site for a stop over.
Only issue we had was a road closed when coming from the motorway.
This was our second visit and would stay again

Great site for a stop over

Stayed at Camping de Chalons-en-Champagne for 1 night for a stopover on a longer trip. The campsite shower and toilet facilities were very clean. There is a small onsite café which serves food, however there is not a huge amount of choice. The pitches are large and spacious and there are electric hookup points available. There is not much around the campsite as it is in a residential area but it's not too far into Chalons-en-Champagne itself. All in all, it's a great little stopover!
