Lovely 8 sleeper situated above the town of Chaumont sur Loir. It has a swimming pool and barbecue on the premises, and a lovely intimate garden to sit in. The hostess is attentive and speaks English well.

The beds are super comfy (I like my mattress to be firm, and the double bed upstairs ticks this box). Towels, bedding a d a well-stocked makes the stay very comfortable.  There is also WiFi and a parking inside the premises. The property is aalking distance from the town as well as the local chateaux.

First holiday in France

We stayed at this beautiful property for a few days mid November 2019. We love the castle and were so happy to be in walking distance of Chaumont. We had two rooms, Capucine and Anemone. Two inviting rooms, clean, pretty, with nice bathrooms and the pillows and mattresses are beyond perfect, makes you want to stay in bed. There is total quiet, no noise whatsoever. Claudine Dallet, the hostess, was so very helpful and friendly, always willing to help with everything. We also loved having use of the fridge, microwave etc...in the main room when we did not want to go out for dinner. 
We loved our stay so much that we will definitely go back there next time we are in the Loire Valley

Perfect

We stayed here for 3 nights this fall and it provided a great location for us to visit the local chateau, the towns in the area and caves to the south where they are raising mushrooms. The tour, given in French only, was worth the cost because the guide would fill us in on important items as we went along. It is an easy walk to the Chateau Chaumont where we spent an afternoon. Claudine was able to direct us to 2 restaurants in the village that were quite good. Claudine kindly accommodated my dietary needs so I could avoid some of the carbs at dejeuner. The common areas were great to sit and review the day and plan the next.

Centrally located lodging in a quiet environment

My husband and I and 3 young children, stayed (Aug 2018) in Le Cotage, a separate gite from main building with 2 large bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms upstairs and studio-like accommodation with kitchen and sofa bed downstairs. Great place to stay, lots of space for a family, spotlessly clean with use of swimming pool (shared with other guests) as a bonus. Great location for exploring many of the beautiful chateaus in the region. Claudine was a very friendly and gracious hostess and we all really enjoyed our stay.

Great Choice in Loire Valley

Visit the chateau and  the garden, strolling in the town and stay walking distance from it in a nice place is priceless!
The town is nice and plenty of restaurant to choose from.
The hostess is very friendly and accommodating.

Great locations

This house is fantastic!  Two large bedrooms upstairs each with their own full bathroom and air conditioning. Downstairs is the kitchen area and a third bedroom and full bathroom. It is studio style downstairs. There isn’t a couch area to sit in but there are beds. Each room has its own tv as well. The pool area has a great outdoor table to sit and eat meals. There is also a grassy area away from the pool to sit and read and have an aperitif. Highly recommend it!

Beautiful home

- great apartment, perfectly equipped, very clean and modern, works well for a family with kids

- pool size okay, however had some problems with the water but guess this has been only temporarily


Nice place for exploring the Loire area

My husband and I had a fantastic time at Les Hauts de Chaumont! Claudine was an attentive host - helping us plan our daily schedule (even prior to our arriving at the B&B), recommending restaurants in the area, serving us a great breakfast to start off the day, and being around if we needed anything more. Our room was nicely decorated and cleaned each day, which was a treat to come back to. The pool was AMAZING as it was nearly 40 degrees at the time of our visit, and it was wonderful to cool off in. And of course we were only steps away from the Chaumont Castle and the garden festival that takes place around the castle. Great place to make a home base while travelling in the Loire Valley!
