Magical property in a stunning region
A fabulous week away at Chateau du Bourbet with our family (2 adults and 3 kids) and friends (2 adults and 2 kids). Very reasonably priced for the experience we had, with plenty of space, lovely bedrooms, all the amenities you could want, and a very relaxed, friendly and knowledgeable host in Albert

Amazing chateau in the most picturesque setting
We stayed at Chateau de Bourbet for a week and we loved every minute of our stay. From the delicious breakfast, to the beautifully appointed rooms, to the views of the countryside. It’s in close proximity to a small village with lovely restaurants and well positioned to explore the Dordogne region.

Delightful as always

Our host, Albert, looked after us with his usual and natural care and bienveillance and it was a relief after a day of hard work to enjoy the comfort

Grand Chateau with important history
Perhaps the best reason to stay here is simply to see the property. It was in one family the Legardes from the 14th century until WW2. It was a German officers HQ. It owned masses of land in the Pude valley which it drained and no doubt had a pinnacle of "wealth" around that time. Arriving, even on
