What an absolutely amazing find. My partner and I stayed for 1 night having spent the day exploring the Pyrenees. House is situated on the hillside with beautiful views. The house is immaculate and the rooms individual, well furnished and with all the comforts you need. Use of the house pool is ideal and we spent the early evening relaxing on the sunloungers. My partner proposed during our stay here and the hostess was so so sweet bringing us a bottle of champagne to help us celebrate. Breakfast was tasty with unlimited fresh baguettes, breads, home made jams and fresh juice and coffee. We loved our stay here and will definitely return. 
I don’t have a bad thing to stay about the property or owner.

Fantastic house, Fantastic host!

My wife and I visited Beth Soureilh for two nights in the middle of our ten day honeymoon through northern Spain and southern France.  I had come across Beth Soureilh on Trip Advisor and looked into it since it had great reviews and an easy to navigate website with a decent amount of information regarding the house and the local area.  Was excited about arriving given the timely and helpful information that innkeeper Marie-Noelle provided as I worked on planning our trip.

As we were traveling by train Marie Noelle had offered to pick us up from the train station and drove us to the house.  Once we were settled into our spacious room (we had one overlooking the Pyrenees) Marie Noelle kindly offered to drive us to Lourdes for the evening.  We had a wonderful and intriguing the time looking around the city and watching the procession around the grotto in Lourdes.  The breakfast both mornings was a nice spread of breads and jams along with juice and tea.  That day Marie-Noelle once again went beyond the necessary hospitality and drove my wife and I to the city of Pau where we were able to have lunch and tour the castle of Louis IV.  

That evening Marie-Noelle cooked a great three course dinner.  Note that you must inquire about dinner and it is an extra charge.  Overall it was a fantastic stay and we were very fortunate to be able to get a bit off the typical tourist beaten path in France and had a great time just chatting Marie-Noelle about her life and things in her town and in France!  I would certainly recommend renting a car for the visit, but definitely worth a night or two if traveling in southern France!

A Wonderful Glimpse of the French Countryside and Hospitality!

I was there two times, in summer 2006 and 2007. It is not easy to explane how wonderfull is this location. Marie Noelle, the owner, is a friend that make you feel well better than at your home. The elegance of the room, the quality of the service, the humanity of friendship i felt it was so precious that i will never forget. I found a friend looking to a B&B. Sometime destiny is very good. 
It is a paradise in a paradise of nature. i suggest it to everyone that love the real values of life.

One of the best place of France and Europe

We booked in advance and arrived with our friends in the late afternoon to a warm welcome by the owner Marie Noelle who showed us to our rooms on the first floor.  Both rooms were large and tidy, with comfortable bedding. The windows had views across rolling hills to the mountains in the distance. These also had drop-down shutters which overnight helped shut out the sound of the occasional car or van from the not overly busy road opposite.  The en suite shower and facilities were clean and up to a good standard.   
We had pre-booked an evening meal and were not disappointed. Marie Noelle had prepared a magnificent salad that was followed by duck confit served with roasted potatoes.  To finish we had a French fruit flan (far superior to the similarly named flans sold in the UK)!  Throughout our meal, Marie Noelle was attentive as well as interesting company. Breakfast was also of a very good standard with plenty of choice.  
The house is well located for an overnight stop en route to the resorts and sights of the Pyrenees.  In clear weather there are good views from the front of the house across to the mountains and there is plenty of woodland in the vicinity for walking and exploring.

Very Pleasant Place to Stop Overnight

my husband and i had booked through smartbox for the first two nights of our honeymoon, we booked as the pictures made it look so beautiful and relaxing! Unfortunatly the photographs are very misleading as on arrival instead of being greeted by a flowered garden we were met by brize blocks and falling tiles on the stairs and a very unwelcoming host! I felt like i was imposing on someone wishing to be alone rather than opening her home as a guesthouse! The room was very clean but very dated and the communal areas were untidy with cleaning products lying around! We were not shown where to have breakfast or where the swimming pool was. We requested information about a local restaurant to be told we needed to go to Lourdes, we quickly changed and prepared to leave! we were then informed the gate would shut at 11pm and if we did not return before then we would be locked out and have to sleep in our car! we asked if we rang a bell would we beable to gain entry to be told NO! which we found shocking! We returned before 11pm luckily and again there was no welcome just a door locked behind us! It was at this point we noticed how the room had limited amenities, no television; a kettle but no cups or coffee or tea! Breakfast was bread and jam with coffee nothing else offered and again the 'host' remained offish not asking how had our evening been or anything it was at this point we decided this place was not for us we informed the lady we would be continuing on the road south to which she said ok! and with this we left! on summary untidy, misleading, unfriendly and not a place to stay!!
