We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope we can return again next year.  We were in the suite, plenty of room, a shower and a bath, a swim in the heated pool was sheer luxury.  But the best was the personal interaction with Lesley and Xavier, nothing was too much trouble.  The table d'hote shared at the table with their son and other guests was very memorable.  Pre dinner aperitifs, toasted herb bread with tapenade, another very tasty dish of which I do not know the name, huge bowl of moules from St Michel for first course done with onions, celery, carrots, pepper, delicious, a main of bbq pork (huge chop) with ratatoulle, potatoes done in duck fat and a dessert of fig clafoutis also absolutely delicious.  Beautiful local wines abundant, a truly memorable evening.  Breakfast was of same high standard, a kiwifruit, ginger, banana & orange smoothy, freshly squeezed orange juice, a strawberry and yoghurt dish, usual breads and croissants, home made jams, a very tasty scrambled egg served in an individual sized tiny frypan, ham & cheeses which we did not need.  You could not wish for a better breakfast. All very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend.

Fantastic stay

Recently had a 4day stay at Domaine de la Greze located in the sleepy town of Labastide-Murat
The owners, Xavier and Lesley, were absolutely wonderful hosts who couldn't do enough for you 
The breakfasts were really superb 
The room was clean and well maintained 
The location was great for day trips to the various places of interest in the Lot area
Probably the only downside was the lack of open restaurants/cafes nearby as we were in the beginning of the low season 
Overall we would definitely stay at Domaine de la Greze if we were in the area again

Peaceful stay at Labastide-Murat

We stayed for a week in The Cottage with our 18-month old son. The gite is spacious and comfortable. Even on hot days, it's fairly cool downstairs. The bedrooms upstairs get pretty warm during hot days, though this didn't bother us. Leslie and Xavier are gracious hosts. We really enjoyed the table d'hote - they use fresh local ingredients to make simple delicious dishes. 
The gite is a great base from which to explore the area. We went wine-tasting, visited Rocamadour and Cahors, went swimming in rivers, went to markets to buy food for our meals. Besides that we spent a lot of time in the pool and walking around the spacious gardens.


Relaxing week

We had the best time in Domaine de la Greze in June. The hosts are wonderful, the location is ideal, the accommodation is plush, the setting is to die for. We honestly couldn't have wished for anything else! The village is very cute and has all the amenities needed for a holiday, and it's a great base to explore the surrounding area which is probably one of the most stunning ones in France! I would highly recommend this place to anyone wishing to holiday in the region.

Simply wonderful

We spent one of our best holidays ever in Domaine de la Greze. Part of it is because the region is so stunningly beautiful and the rest is because our accommodation was so perfect. We had decided to splash out and stay in the cottage that has a private pool and everything was perfect, from the facilities, setting, bedding, to the equipment, I couldn't fault anything! (or maybe have a bluetooth speaker so that we could listen to our own music!).
I'm sure there are other lovely gites/hotels in the Lot but I would definitely recommend this place as it ticks ALL the boxes one might have when looking for a conveniently located yet up-market place to stay.
The village is very cute, you can find everything you need. There's a decent size supermarket that's within walking distance, as well as a bar-café, boulangerie, bank...
My last words would go out to Lesley and Xavier who were awesome hosts. So friendly and accommodating yet discreet and never in your way. They really made us feel at home, and Lesley's cooking is worth a try!!
We will definitely come back again, our goal now is to try every room in this property, and after Lesley and Xavier gave us a visit of the place, next on the list will be the romantic suite or the pigeonnier!
