We love this hotel, having stayed there in 1998. Although changed a little since then, the charm and hospitality are the same.  We had a much superior room to the one in the photo so ask for  Room No 6!

Full of charm and hospitality - ask for a double room in what is now the Annex.

Super, super! The room was delightful with a great walk in shower. The bed was very comfortable ensuring a good nights sleep. The room was furnished with interesting features and décor, with a downstairs sitting area having comfortable chairs (shared with the other rooms). Their English is limited, but hey we are in France and tried our best to converse in French. Lots of smiles always helps!! A lovely breakfast was served in the cafe, the best we have had on this trip and very good value for €8.50! Will definitely come back! An absolute delightful place

An absolute delight!

We stayed one night and we wish it was longer. We had a small cabin at the back of the main building which was clean, comfortable, well decorated and quirky. Staff were pleasant and helpful too. Opposite is the church where Gen Charles de Gaulle is buried and his family home is just down the road (€6 to visit some of the rooms). A national memorial and visitor centre is 1km away. 

Other hotels should take note!

We stopped here for one night on our way back from the South of France. Like a previous reviewer, this is possibly the best place we've stayed for a stopover. We had a family room, which was in fact two separate rooms with a shared bathroom. It was very beautifully decorated and the bed was extremely comfortable. 
The staff were lovely and even with my awful French, managed to communicate. We ate at La Table du General, a 2 minute walk away. We didnt have the breakfast, we used the local boulengerie instead! We will definitely be back! 

What a great find!

Wow!  We used this hotel as a stop off on the way to and from Savoie/The Alps, and I wish we could've stayed longer, quite honestly!  This is possibly one of the nicest places we've ever stayed, and very reasonably priced.  Our first night, on the way down south, we stayed in the rooms behind the café (during the heatwave), and it included a beautifully decorated 3 bed room, with lots of quirky, interesting décor and features, and a gorgeous tiled bathroom.  It was surprisingly cool, despite lack of aircon, and the communal area is lovely too.
The second stay, on our return, was in upstairs rooms to the right of the café.  It was equally lovely, and very cool.
We had the breakfast on the way down, which was fine, but a bit steep for what it was.  Other than that, I can't fault it, and we'll certainly be back!

Quirky, comfortable, and beautifully furnished!

It was pleasure to stop for one night at this lovely hotel. 
We reserved a little suite with 2 rooms, a large entrance lounge and a toilet to share for both rooms. It was the perfect setting for our family of four. 
We will definitely come back next time we drive through France on the way to the Alps. 

Lovely quaint little hotel

Quaint little village, hotel itself was stunningly decorated. We had a nice private outside area. 
Lovely grocery shop next to it that had great selection of wine.
Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a quiet getaway.

Beautiful hotel

On arrival we were very impressed, this is a very nice little town and the Cafe that runs the accommodation is right in the centre. The accommodation itself is behind and has ample parking for residents. There is a nice area to sit out and this is protected from the elements by a very traditional  nice wood and tile roof. Downstairs there is a comfortable communal lounge area. There are about four rooms, ours was very nicely done and the whole place was spotless. You have to remember this is not a bite so there are no cooking facilities, we knew this but could really have done with a fridge, this would have made this perfect. 

We enjoyed our stay here, we did have breakfast once, this was nice and very traditional but not included in the price. The following days we sat In the outside area and had our own continental breakfast or bread and jam, ideal.
