I would agree with most of the reviews here. The hotel is comfortable and quiet. We stayed over New Year and had a lovely evening with 9 courses. The owners take a lot of trouble. The set menu each evening is good value, but limited if you only want a snack, although of course you can eat out in Combloux in that case. The menu can also be adapted for dietary needs, but I think a vegetarian would not enjoy it. Some French language skills will also make you feel more comfortable. We left our car in the garage the whole time and walked and used the free shuttle service in the village. Easy to get to ski area that way. No shower as such, as already noted. The sauna area is modern but small. The pool was frozen over. :) 

Good family run hotel

A last minute booking and so a bit apprehensive. The welcome was charming, the hotel rooms clean and the view from the balcony took in the majestic Mont Blanc, just like it said on the website. Breakfast was French and a bit minimal, but plenty of it and a change to go fully continental. Overall I would really recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel, delightful people

We have just returned from a wonderful 5 days with my husband two boys aged 5 and 7. The rooms were really comfortable and interconnected so great to have space from the kids. the hotel food was amazing and I would really recommend the evening meals. We had a great stay and will be back next year.

Fantastic Hotel

Well run, friendly staff, clean, views on Mont Blanc, good size room.
There is a heated spa, sauna and hammam (no extra charge) and in summer an outdoor pool. Those were better than expected for a small hotel in the country.
Breakfast is good.
We had half-board (demi pension) and were pleasantly surprised the meals were all good and included a nice cheese selection and the dessert of the day.

The hotel is located just above Combloux in a quiet location.

The only negatives for us: a/ soundproofing isn't particularly good, so you do hear some plumbing noise, neighbors and people talking in the hallway like there's no door. b/ the bedding was extra firm and we didn't sleep that well - especially as the pillows were rather thin, i.e. not ideal for such a firm bed.

The rooms with views on Mont Blanc are of course nice, but it's really not a drama if you get a cheaper room with views on the other side: you'll still see some nice mountain scenery and anyway you get plenty of time to look at Mont Blanc from the restaurant, bar, reading room and spa/pool areas which are all facing Mont Blanc!

TIP: coming from Geneva via Sallanches, our GPS got us to take the small road above Sallanches, which was not very good at night, narrow and had plenty of oncoming traffic for such a small road. Better stay on the main road (i.e. follow the "Combloux" signs until you hit Combloux.).

Good family style hotel - only a couple of negatives

I  have stayed several times in this hotel. Brilliantly positioned less than five minutes from the Princesses ski lift it has a superb view of Mont Blanc. Five minutes walk from the centre of the village of Combloux. There is a garage for guests use . The rooms are spotlessly clean and  have a  in each bathroom. There are no safes in the rooms but the cupboard can be locked. The ones looking out on Mt Blanc are particularly nice. The food is delicious and very good value. The chef is the owners brother. There is a sauna and indoor and outdoor jacuzzis. A very good masseur is available. Stephanie Piaget runs the hotel with efficiency and friendliness. The decor is a bit old fashioned but our group found it comfy,clean, friendly with wonderful food at a reasonable price, and we will be returning again next year.
