There's no welcome, you have to call to get a code to get in (be careful the lady is wrong code) The room is poor it's like closets it's a balcony you keep hitting your head.The TV doesn't work.

We had a very good stay in this guest room. The room and bathroom were very clean. The host was very friendly and the breakfast was pleasant! Only a small reminder of the lack of soundproofing even though I think it is inevitable in this type of house of the time. We will keep this address for a next escape to Compiègne!

All right, all right.

What a disappointment compared to the photos! Decoration just made for the photos (shuts off the lights, curtains fall off as soon as you touch them...). Room under the roof that looks like a rabbit cage. With a temperature of 31° (downloaded an app the same evening to check out). No climate. So we want to take a shower to cool off, what an idea... Cold water doesn't work, not even warm. Hot or burning at the convenience of the plumbing.

A very nice surprise! Despite a late arrival, I received a welcome text message with the room access code. A room full of volume and obvious decorative search. Breakfast was good and ready on the schedule set by text. Frédéric's welcome is very nice and easy to discuss... we feel at home! I will return without hesitation.

It's like home.

A somewhat wide corridor, narrow on the side by a very steep staircase leading to the bathroom (this duplex situation not reported in the ad, as I recall), ceiling basement, without windows (a velux, at one of the narrow ends of the room, does not illuminate the whole; the store closes badly), a bed space similar to an alcove (just the width of the bed and 2 small night tables), to furnish a key and a table on a small cross-section, no shelf (cars on a coat door): this all does not hold a living room and therefore a room.

Disappointing

Very well located because close to UTC, in a relatively quiet street. We had rented the last available room on the ground floor. Bad insulation (noise from the front door facing the room, stairs and terraces cracking mostly one night of graduation, we sleep at the pace of those who come back all night). Very narrow room in the shape of a long hallway but charming, very comfortable changing room. Very narrow bathroom and this one, worry: the water was hot to the point of burning so we only took it one quick evening, damaged for the morning before going back for 750 km. The problem was to get up to the top of the screen was really broken down.

Visiting Compiègne for a party

Stayed here in July. We had 2 rooms - 1 on the ground floor (very greatful not having to climb stairs to room) the other was on the 1st floor. Steps up to other rooms is steeper than usual staircases. Rooms were roomy enough and lovely decor. 
Could do with table or stand in bathroom to put toilet bag / clothes on. We had bathroom, lounge and tv on one level with bedroom up in loft area. The lounge had been made into bed to accomodate the 3 of us which made for minimal space on the main floor (once we had our cases out as we weren't lugging them up another flight of stairs) from our room you walked downa  couple of steps into communal kitchen for breakfast. 
One of the other rooms had the double bed on one level and up stairs to the private bathroom. The 4th room was through the kitchen.
So 3 rooms have stairs to access them and the 4th you are required to go up stairs if you are having breakfast. 
The continental breakfast was lovely and the host had everyting ready for you. She was lovely, always making sure you had everything you needed.
There is no parking attached to the accom, however, there is 4/5 (free) parking bays directly across from the main door. We were lucky enough to jag a parking spot there each afternoon. Otherwise few hundred metres up the road there was an open air public parking area that was paid during the day, but free over night.
It was very warm while we were there, with no aircon or fans the rooms were hot. There is an Irish Pub next door on the corner and around from it a laundro mat. So nice and close to do some washing (thou only 2 out of the 7 machines worked!)

Lovely B&B

It's not very easy to find, since there's a badge missing; just a small label on the bell. Parking in the area is mostly paid. Nice staff but improvised. Room-room on the ground floor. When we arrived the heating didn't work in the room or bathroom, but mysteriously the next morning the room thermosphere was hot. The boiler was probably off and we were provided with a stew.
