This was a brilliant golfers hotel, with a good bar great breakfasts and evening meals. Basic bedrooms, full size snooker tables, great bar, large tv screens and Guinness! Sadly it’s now closed down, I went passed it 6th April 2022. All the signs and outside lighting has been removed leaving the Metropole looking very shabby. The side door on rue John Whitely has been bricked up and still needs rendering. I do hope it reopens, but I can’t see it happening anytime soon. Best wishes to the owners and here’s hoping for a speedy reopening!
