A beautiful place. The pictures don't fully do it justice! The location is great, a short drive from everything there is to visit in the area and town, yet on the outskirts of Corte - so you can enjoy the peace, quiet, and fantastic views of mountains and surrounding fields. The owner Geoffrey is friendly, warm and efficient, and helped us with many things from restaurant recommendations to charging our electric car. The rooms are tastefully decorated, clean and with large, comfortable beds. Breakfast is generous with hams, jams, pastries, and cheese produced by the owner's family. There is a washer dryer for guests to use for a fee. The vast grounds around the property are a pleasure to walk around or just enjoy in the evening with a glass of wine. I would definitely go again!

A very special place

The property itself is very well maintained and the grounds are very well manicured.  The property is outside of the town, however if you have a GPS it will bring you right there!  We visited in May and we main parking garage in Corte was always empty and we didn’t find it difficult to take the car to go out for dinner. 
The owner is simply awesome!  We enjoyed so much our conversations!  Ask for recommendations for dinner and you would not be disappointed.  Washer and dryer was a bonus!

Perfect

We spent three days in Corte this summer. We really enjoyed our stay at Maison San Giovanni. It is a quiet place outside of town. It has been recently renovated so everything was clean, brand new and comfortable. The person managing the place is extremely nice and helpful. He helped up organize walks and discover really nice rivers in the area. Highly recommended if you need a place to stay in Corte

Lovely and friendly place

Friendly and helpful staff, lovely setting in the countryside, clean comfortable room, quiet, good breakfast (almond cake and homemade jams, mmm).

It's a little further from the town than we had realised. Most people drive but it is walkable if you are determined (we were).

Lovely setting and accommodation

We found the owner really helpful and he answered all of the questions we had about the local area. The property looked brand new and was immaculate and clean. The bed in our room was huge and fairly comfortable. We enjoyed our stay there very much . Just a point that , before we arrived, I received an email with some guidance on how to find the property but I found the instruction a bit confusing - It read that if we were travelling from Aleria to Porto Vecchio we should take the 3rd exit off the roundabout - therefore we were looking for this roundabout in Aleria. However the instruction actually meant that once you took the road to Corte from Aleria and then as you were approaching Corte town itself , thats where the island was where you needed to take the 3rd exit. 
There were some house rules that I didnt see/werent on  the website I booked with which people might need to consider before booking. There is a 'quiet time' rule between 10pm and 8am. There is a 'no food or drink allowed' sign by the communal dining table where breakfast is served by the host - therefore it looks like you cant use the dining table yourself at any time for your own food and drinks. There was mention of a 'bar' on the website but I dont know how this would have worked as the owner is only there at breakfast time and then between 4-8pm for check -in. So I'm not sure how this bar would work.  2 ladies arrived the day after us and hadnt got a car and said they felt stranded as they had been told there was no taxi service so they had to ask other guests for lifts into the town. It is by no means walkable as its a dark single track 1km long road to a traffic island on the outskirts of the town and then would probably take another 15 mins to get up to the old town area.  But if you have a car it is a really beautiful place, with a helpful owner, nice breakfast and peaceful countryside setting with views of the mountains and a lovely garden area.
