Small boutique B&B with very few rooms, but inside a small park with a covered swimming pool and jacuzzi. Served by a friendly lady (with a very friendly cat and dog), we also enjoyed the hearty breakfast that you might miss sometime in France. Room was equiped with coffee maker and fridge. Parking was outside but no problem. Very quiet environment.

Luxury B&B stay

The drive to reach this place is charming, passing through a lovely village called Parenty where the River Course runs alongside the road all the way to Courset.
The room I was given was nearest the gate and I didnt appear to have anyone in the room next door, which was great from the point of view of peace and quiet, although it is a very quiet area at night anyway.
My room was exactly as shown on Booking.com, rather New England style with appropriate cushions and lovely linens.
There was a Tassimo machine for hot drinks, but only green/mint tea was available apart from coffee, but this was actually quite refreshing.  But Tassimo machines are so noisy that being an early riser, if I operated it at 6am I would undoubtedly disturb any neighbour!
I had a great night's sleep.  Breakfast was served in a separate dining room across the courtyard but next to the owners accommodation.  This again was done out stylishly in New England fashion, very nice.  I liked also that the dresser at the back of the dining room was set up with local produce for sale and lots of local interest leaflets.
Breakfast consisted of breads, croissant, chocolatine, cheese, yoghurt and I was offered but declined a plate of charcuterie.  
I didnt like the fact that I had to park in the public car park across from the Chambre D'hote when there was a fenced in gate preventing any view of the car, particularly as another guest had parked his car outside his room and left early!
I had a little issue with a chip in the glass with my orange juice which nicked my upper lip which Monsieur was utterly apologetic over, and the skirtings in my room, particularly the bathroom were in desperate need of a thorough clean.  Monsieur assured me they would get a good scrub.
There is a small pool and jaccuzzi at the property but not having the time and not really being my thing, I didnt take a look at them.
I have mixed views about whether I would stay here again.  There are lots of good things about it, but the way the "rooms" are set out, is more like you would get in a Motel.  There is one room set-up, near to the breakfast room that appears to be like a little villa that looks much prettier.  I suppose if you take advantage of the pool etc then the cost of the equivalent of over 70 pounds is understandable.

A pleasant stay, Monsieur is charming, lovely area.

On our way back to the UK , decided to stay at LE Clos for a night instead of one of the big hotel chain. Definitely best decision made! Great remote location, friendly staff and owners. Room was spacious, well decorated with very good facilities for a b&b. A pool and jacuzzi was also welcomed after a long trip so was the lovely garden . Owners recommended a nice restaurant nearby Samer. Great night sleep, followed by plentiful and tasty breakfast. Definitely will return.
