This is one of the very best campsites we have ever stayed at. It’s a huge site resembling a country park which slopes down from the modern reception and restaurant to a lake beside which are indoor and outdoor swimming pools. The outer parts of the site are wooded providing shade in the summer and the central area is a vast grassed area with more scattered trees. There are a wide variety of different accommodations from simple terraced pitches to upmarket cabins. We stayed for five nights in a generous terraced hedged pitch for our Campervan with the luxury of our own small cabin with modern shower and wash hand basin and external sink. The whole site is kept impeccably and the owners and staff are extremely polite and helpful. There is plenty to amuse younger children and it’s also very peaceful if you want a relaxing break. It feels remote but all facilities including a large Carrefour are less than a 10 minute drive away and there are plenty of attractions in this part of the Dordogne. One point to note is that some of the pitch electrics are the French socket type so if you need to hook up bring your adaptor. Words can’t do this place justice. You need to stay here to believe it.

Stunning.

Wow, this site has everything a camper could want on their holiday! We came here as part of a family holiday with my parents and brother. All the staff here were incredibly helpful and polite to all my family. Even when there was a mix-up on our part with departure dates, nothing was too much trouble and the issue was sorted within 10 minutes without us having to move. The site has a fantastic lake which you can swim in and borrow canoes to sail around in. Next to the many loungers was a small cabin offering ice creams and refreshments, although I am not sure whether these can be consumed around the pool. I absolutely loved the pool which provided a refreshing dip in the hot weather. A new addition this year was the indoor swimming pool which is fantastic for swimmers who like to swim in warm water. The best time to go to the pool or lake is around 1pm as most people are having lunch. It’s lovely and quiet at those times. The toilet and shower facilities were the best I have seen in France. Not once did I find them left in a dirty state. I saw them being cleaned on the majority of my visits. The staff here are passionate about providing you with a memorable stay and make this their priority. There are many large pitches for large tents and caravans although some are more difficult to access than others. As the site is very large, it is best to position yourself in the middle of the site so you aren’t too far away from all the facilities. Plus St-Cyprien has a good market on a Thursday! See you next year! 

Absolute Gem!!!

Our young family spent a week in one of the new chalets located on the hill-top above the lake and swimming pool. Since we do not like overcrowded campsites we booked this one and all expectations were exceeded. 
Swimmingpools are stunning, even on a bit of a chilly day one can swim in the pool with the modular roof. The lake is nice for a swim and for fishing.

Wow! What a lovely and cosy campsite for young families

We found this campsite the most spaceous we have ever stayed at.  We had booked a 200m2 pitch with electric hook up, terrace, fridge and the ability to have "plumbed" water and all for the princely sum of 20 euros a night.  We were shown to the area of the pitches and had our choice of all 10.  They were all within easy reach of the swimming pool, lakes and toilet blocks.  The pitches were every bit as good as they sounded and we were advised which pitches were best for afternoon sun (but we never really found out what afternoon sun actually was)

What a great find

The most spacious campsite we have ever stayed upon. Fantastic landscaped pitches. We opted for the XL pitch which included a fridge and a covered wooden terraced area with bench, from which to watch the evening sunsets. Beware the site is very hilly and therefore there the walk to the toilets can be quite exhilarating! Although there are lots of attractions near by, it is necessary to visit these by car. Wifi is very slow.

Wonderful idyllic site

Great site with friendly owners and fantastic facilities for a young family (6,4,2). The lake and swimming pools kept our girls entertained and the canoes were great fun. The location was superb and overall the experience was fantastic. The minor downside was that the site is on a slope so the girls couldn't use their bikes, this minor issue was outweighed by all of the positives! We will be back next year!
