I recommend this campsite!

We camped for the first time with our family (1 child: 11 years).

We have experienced the location as pleasant.

Lovely heated indoor pool (and outdoor pool was nice too).

Evening program really liked my daughter!

The environment is very nice and attractive (no fast food chains or chains of other kind of stores). Really felt like I was gone. Delicious restaurants and from several sides there was that fantastic view of the bay!



Nice place!

Very good campsite. Our expectations were absolutely met and even exceeded. The mobile home was wonderful (Exclusive). The only downside was that there was no WiFi in the mobile home ah the moment.
We can absolutely recommend the camp.

Excellent!

Unfortunately the weather was not kind to us so spending wet days in brittany which is not set up for this weather like the UK was challenging at times with the kids.
The campsite was overall very nice, great clean pools. The animation was all in french and there were no other english kids so mine found it a bit lonely. (2 x age 9).
The van was basic, no tv was fine. Kitchen tiny and the toilet opens straight into kitchen area. The beds were plastic covered camping mattresses, not comfortable at all. The 'duvets' were actually blankets which did not look very clean. Pillows were square plastic covered affairs which were quite uncomfortable. We ended up buying duvets.
The caravan although the deluxe model was very small and this was closer to camping than i personally like. Also no kettle!! 
We travelled alot in the local area, quiberon and carnac and trinite sur mer all wonderful. We especially loved the beach at carnac, free parking along the front and lots of choice for food and icecream or crepes. We also saw other english people here!! 
I wouldnt advise staying here without some basic french as all information is in french on arrival and with regards to check out. Reception was very helpful and spoke good english. 
Up and downs, would i go again? Probably not! Would i recommend it to someone travelling to the area- probably! 


An ok week in an ok van on a lovely site

Had a lovely time at this site. Facilities were great, clean and well maintained. Lots of hot water and no queues even though it was pretty full. The only negative for us was that our pitch didn't get any sun whatsoever due to tall trees surrounding us but it wasn't a major issue. A couple of power cuts but like I say it was peak season. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely quiet site great for families

Stayed here on a pitch with a caravan in Aug 2017.  Campsite is lovely, nice and small, and easy to get around.  Good activities for the kids and adults at the pool and bar, but of course most of it in French.  Quiet campsite, so no loud noise after 11:30.  Both pools are lovely, though make sure all the boys/men have those tight swim shorts, as normal baggy swim shorts are not allowed - one major gripe that I did have, as they say its for hygiene purposes, and if that is the case, then why isn't everyone wearing a head cap??  Also, food wouldn't be their strong point - three quarter of an hour wait for chips and nuggets.  But that said, the location is perfect beside Carnac and Auray.  The port at Carnac is filled with some of the nicest restaurants ever - one of our favourite spots.  Would definitely visit this area again and would go back to the same campsite as great value for money.

Super Holiday

Just returned after an amazing 8 days. We loved every second of it. 

Check in was easy and the receptionist spoke a little English which helps. 
We arrived at our pitch and it was a nice size but full of small rocks etc. We hired a fridge which arrived promptly but we made a massive mistake... We forgot to take an adapter to plug it into our ehu oops. We had to visit a super U which was local and buy an extension lead and change the end to a UK plug and it eventually worked. This was definetly needed as if reached 30 degrees outside at the hottest point so around 45 under canvas. 

The toilet where clean and tidy but they use the one sheet toilet rolls and by mid day half the toilets had the loo roll pushed inside the unit. 

Showers would of been nice if we could of changed the temperature as a nice cool shower would of been bliss. 

The swimming pools were amazing and so much fun. We struggled at times to get a sun bed but that doesn't matter if your just swimming. Apparently in France it's trunks or swim boxers and no shorts in the pool so we was ejected from the pool on day 2. We found a store who sold them so this wasn't a massive problem to us. 

There were no lifeguards in the pool area which was good for us as we could mess around without been told off(we are just big kids after all) this may not be so good for people who want the reassurance that it's safe. 

The electronic gate is an excellent idea. Each code is unique and the gate will not open between 11pm and 7am so don't be late. 

There was a small market one evening (not sure which one) this was in the car park they sold hair breads, toys, French Sausage etc. 

We had food from the little hole in the wall Burger and pizza place near reception and it was really nice food and the guy is very funny and speaks good English. 

The best place we found to shop was Auray. They have an e'lecerc, Lidl, Mcdonalds and super U all within 5 minutes of each other. You can find Anythkng you need here (except normal milk, dilute fruit juice and a few other UK staples) 

There are some nice beaches, restaurants and a lovely marina in Carnac just a short drive away. There is also a huge market in Carnac on a Wednesday I belive. Fresh food, fish and other things to be had here. 

In summary this is one hell of an amazing campsite with friendly staff and lovely setting in a beautiful part of France. 

Definitely recommend but would recommend going with friends as majority of people are French(as you'd expect and altough very friendly people if you cant speak the language it could feel lonely)

Week with crazy friends 

Stayed on this site for 8 nights at the end of august. The pitches are set amongst pine trees and the setting is stunning. We were pitches right accross feom.the childrens park and sand football pitch which was fantastic.  The site is imaculately clean and the pool area is fantastic. We took our own tent but hired.a fridge which was definitley needed because the weather was scorching all week. It was too hot!!! Staff on site spoke good english and were very helpful all the time. Be warned that no shorts allowed im the pool only trunks, french law no shorts in public swimming pools i heard. But as the site is well located there are several supermarkets in fair distance so.we bought trunks there. Had a brilliant holiday definitley will return again. Thanks so much for a fantastic experience le fort espagnol:-)

Fantastic first trip camping in france.

we liked it a lot, kids made friends, and we liked that we were the only English family there.  my kids made French friends and did a nice bit of cultural exchange and language practice!  the pool is good and wife and daughter loved the aqua aerobics
