Stayed at the central hotel. Please do not. It is dirty and a very unpleasant place to stay. The staff are the rudest and most aggressive of all the hotels we stayed at in over two weeks. The bar is nice very local French and great location right in town but only stay if you have too.

Central hotel experience

Very well located hotel with plenty of cheap parking at the end of the street. The hotel seems to be a bit of a one man band so reception was closed till 3pm but if you arrive early there are cafes nearby where you can wait and watch the world go by. Receptionist was very friendly: the room was very comfortable and clean with old dark furniture and a tiny but functional bathroom.
We ate dinner at Le Chuadron restaurant which is on a narrow side street about 5 minutes walk from the hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel was excellent with jugs of excellent hot coffee and milk and fresh bread from the bakers over the road.
We had a great time in Digne and would recommend the town, the hotel and the Le Chuadron restaurant mentioned above!

Great value.

Arrived at 1.30 pm to find the front door locked. Had to wait until 3.30 pm for it to be opened.There was no lift so you have to carry your bags up to your floor. The room was spacious and clean, Beautiful old solid wooden furniture.Bathroom was large and in good condition. Lots of hot water. Beds were very comfortable. Its a 2 star hotel so there's no expectation of luxury but it surprised me as was spacious, very clean, well presented and in good repair. No smoking allowed in the hotel which meant the whole hotel smelt fresh. Hotel was very conveniently placed for the bus station and right in the town centre. A bar/cafe is on the ground level (hotel reception is on the first floor) and I expected noise during the night. But heard nothing. Train station is a kilometre away but flat easy walk. Perfectly acceptable for a short stay or even longer if budget conscious.

clean 2 star hotel in centre of town

We chose this hotel as it was,as the name suggests, very central and easy to find. This was a 2* hotel so we didn't expect luxury, it was very clean, lovely bed, very nice breakfast and the receptionist/owner was very good and helpful. Unfortunately it was very hot when we stayed there so, with no a/c or fan we had to keep our windows open which meant we were woken at 5am by tremendous noise as it was a Saturday and the market was being set up just on the Main Street where the hotel was. My recommendation to the owners of the hotel is for them to put fans in each room at least, the street is too noisy to have windows open. Also, something for people to be aware of, no lift in the hotel, our room was on the third floor, reception is on the first floor.

Convenient location but so noisy 

We arrived in Degnes-le-Bains and looked. This was the best reasonable priced hotel we could find. I perfect location and with all basic amenities and a nice breakfast.
The owner showed us rooms and we were glad to have looked at the upper floor as the view over the town was good.

A convenient stop-over in Haute- Provence, in Southern France

Lovely small hotel in a lovely wee town! My friend and I spent a night here after driving up from Nice. We had a nice twin room and there is a nice bar (Le Casino) adjoining the hotel. It is well located on the Main Street and I wouldn't hesitate recommending it to anyone!
