we stayed at the hotel twice on our return trip to Rennes . The room was basic but was clean & tidy with Tv and wifi. For the price, we were very happy. staff were friendly and were more than happy to help us with sage storage for out bikes. Due to an injury Fatima was more than happy to go out of her way to help my friend up the stairs !! we will be back for sure in the future

a great stay

Fantastic location in the old town.  Clean and comfortable room just as you'd expect, no frills.
We parked close by but it was a complicated and expensive affair (more than 10 euros for an afternoons parking).  Free parking is located behind the tourist office and I'm sure that's kept quiet for the locals.
We didn't get to sample the hotels crêpes as they weren't open on the evening that we stayed but a choice of restaurants are within a very short distance.
Helpful chap on reception who didn't mind us checking out a day early purely down to the weather.
Would happily stay here again when visiting beautiful Dinan.

A pleasant stay.

Having been in Brittany now for over a week, we’ve eaten in several creperies. This was one of the best we experienced. The hostess found us a table outside which was well covered by an umbrella which was good because it rained. Lunch was really good. I had an omelet with ham and a green salad while my husband had the gallant complete with egg, ham and cheese. He had a sugar crepe for dessert and I had the warm chocolate and banana crepe. Yum. Service was a little slow and there was some confusion about the order and the bill, but it was minor. We weren’t in a hurry and things tasted so good, it was nice to linger.

Just the Creperie — an excellent one

The best thing about this place is its location, right in the heart of Dinan. 

I was on my own and I found the room pretty small, especially with the inward sloping ceiling. The owner did offer me a larger room and it was my choice not to bother changing rooms (as it was only a short stay), so just be aware that some rooms are on the small size. 

Bed was very comfortable. Wifi worked well, TV only had local french channels

Fantastic Location

The food was lovely, the service was not quick, but we are in a laid back spot so no worries. The location is in a nice quiet alley, and no street noise or cars. A nice selection of wine and beer and bonus kids menu!

A nice lunch in Dinan

Last week , we decided to stop over for a night on the way back from our holiday in france to get back to the UK. 
We are a french / anglo family with a 9 year old daughter. We decided to stop over at l hotel de la tour de l horloge because of its location and the price. The hotel was clean and pleasant but when we arrived in our bedroom there was so ham left over in the bedroom fridge. We did not dine there simply because of wanting to visit Dinan.
We got back to our bedroom hotel around 11 pm and there was some music noise from the cafe which is just a few shop away from the hotel. Managed to get to sleep ok BUT at around 2.30 am, some customer de ided to have a full on feast fight just under our bedroom window. They also started to shops alarms while fighting. It was really scary and i do understand that it is not the hotel's fault but in the morning when i went to talk to the hotle manager/ receptionist, his answer was the most surprising: i did not hear a thing because i sleep at the back and it is such a common thing that we are used to it!!!! 
I was absolutely shocked by it all. They tried to convince me that it was nothing but in the meantime we hardly slept. They did not even try to do a small commercial gesture like offering us a free breakfast. No apologies et all. 
It is such a shame as the city is just beautifull but there are a lot more hotels in the town, so please refrain to atay there definitively at the week end.
