Dinan is medieval town with many building made of wooden structure several hundred years old . Beautiful and colour full wooden building with cobblestone street . Restuarants and shops with unique clothes and accessories make it an interesting place to visit

Medieval town of Dinan, France

It's a small character house, the owners are friendly, the rooms are comfortable, the breakfast is generous, just the stairs a little steep, not possible for people with reduced mobility, with its typically English charm.

The night of sympathy

If u get down at Dinan Station,u willbe silenced by its eery silence.Where i hav come to-u will be muttering to yourself.Walking along the cobbled streets ur attention will first be drawn towards the half-timbered houses,with sad looking slate-coloured  rooftops and four gateways, as if welcoming u,will entice u to crane ur head towards a Clock Tower in the present day municipal building in Horloge Street.You hav come to a small historical city,previously under the Dukes of Britain.Caleders will be receding backward-to a historical time. You are transported to a turbulent middle age where you see a Duke of Britain is purchasing the city from the French at sixteen thosand pound sterling only.Leave aside History.What attracts the tourists in present dayDinan?It's peace n tranquillity.In official terminology,Dinan is now under the Cortes D Armor Department of north Western France.Britain is gone,but the legacy n cultural tradition is still living.
A city of just 336 squire kilometer,population being roughly 15 thousand,it merits the consideration of being beautifully ancient.Quest France says:a town that has always been open to the world.It has not only taken something from streams of visitors- from adventurous sailors to philosophers n writers like Chateaubriand or Victor Hugo-it has given them a Heavenly Repose.We saw theSaint Saviour's Basilica,The Tower of Duchess Ann,(Chateau De Dinan,theKeep n the world famous Gate of jerzual,theRamparts,with historical machicolations,strangely known as murder hole,porticulis etc.Next to these attractions,were:Rue de Horloge,Rue de l'Apport,Place des Merciers.We had a magnificent view of entire Dinan,some areas of Rural France from the top of the Clock Tower.The Port of Dinan is another one to harbour our tired soul.Oh yes,we relished the Apple Cider Wine n the famous Moules Frites at Dinan.And I end here telling my future tourists that Dinan boasts of good hotels n restaurants without burning a hole in ur pocket!

The Haunting Dinan

The old priory is well placed in relation to the historic center of Dinan, the reception is good, the ptits dej good too, but.... concerns about cleanliness in the room..... spider cloth.... moist shower pad at the door level, the vacuum cleaner can do better..... and especially not to make crazy because we hear everything! Wake up early in the morning....

That's a good idea, but...

Gentleness and availability of the owner... ideal location to visit the city... calm and cozy... excellent breakfast, spacious and varied.

Excellent value for money for this family-friendly room.

The proprietors were very warm & friendly - nothing was too much trouble. The room was well furnished and spotlessly clean. A great selection of things were available for breakfast - which was included in the price. Thoroughly recommended!

Characterful, tidy and welcoming...

Some reviews I've been able to read didn't get to visit the same place as us... Cleanliness really leaves you wanting, it's not clean at all, and everything is frankly refreshed... plus the smell of enclosure and humidity. We spent 3 nights there, we won't go back. The little dej is nice on the other hand, and we were well placed compared to the center of Dinan which is very quickly accessible on foot. There is no private parking, but a public parking lot, so not always a parking lot.

Not too bad.

It's a wonderful place. If you want peace, tranquility and family care, you're here. If you love mops, it's for you. It's almost in the center of the old town.

English family hospitality

A charming hot room in Dinan. Well situated and with free parking. The rooms are clean, the decor is pleasant and a kettle and hospitality tray are lovely touched. Breakfast is superb with pastries, tartines, orange juice, cereals, yogurt etc. So nice if you are looking to have a comfortable stay outside of a formulaic chain hotel. The owners are friendly and will look after you well.

Good location Good for a break but not longer Switzerland stayed 4 nights but it's not very comfortable cleanliness really leaves to be desired overall reviews don't really match what I've seen enough lunch and friendly reception
