It is certainly one of the most beautiful hotels in Dinard. However, welcoming the most unpleasant with our two-month-old baby who was obviously not welcome, after having made us wait outside in the rain with our child under the pretext that we had not warned him of his presence (which was not possible on the website when we booked) we have benefited from a lesson in how to live the most amazing.

Shame on you

We spent one night in this wonderful establishment, which has more than one guest house than a hotel, thanks to its charming and personalized reception by the couple of owners. The house dates back to 1900, beautiful, charming and very well maintained. The hotel is located on the beach, with superb views of St Malo at the bottom of the bay. The sea view room is quiet, perfectly furnished and comfortable, renovated bathroom. We hope to have the opportunity to return there; to highly recommend!

Great boutique property, straight in front of a beautiful beach and close to the town center. The hosting couple are truly dedicated and welcoming Hoteliers that run the perfectly. We‘ll definitely go again

Historic Maison with stunning view

50th anniversary gift for my parents.They loved and had a wonderful stay at the end of August.They were staying in a very nice room with a very nice view of St Malo and the sea.A very good welcome.They have a very good memory, that was the purpose of the surprise.Thank you to the whole team.

Feet in the water

This is probably the most beautiful hotel in Dinard, or even on the Emerald Coast. You will be welcomed by the owners, a charming couple full of humor and courtesy. A staircase, eaten by the bell towers, will lead you to this elegant Italian-style home, masterfully laid there by history in front of a fine sandy beach and facing the walls of Saint-Malo. It has seen travelers pass by, some of them prestigious, without ever whispering to them that they were just passing by.

Marc and Florence are exceptional hosts, lifting your stay at this posh hotel from the excellent to the extraordinary.  They greeted us warmly, explained the history of the hotel [and our bathtub], gave us suggestions for restaurants and walking tours, served delicious breakfasts, and overall made us feel like welcome guests at a luxurious home.  The location is perfect, overlooking the beach, with a postcard view of St. Malo.  You can walk down a short flight of stairs to the beach promenade and take a five minute stroll to the town's restaurants or a ten minute walk to a ferry landing where you can take a short boat ride across the bay to St. Malo.  It cost a bit more than we usually spend, but it was well worth the splurge.

You will feel like royalty

This is definitely one of the most charming hotels I have stayed at anywhere in the world. It isn't particularly posh or luxurious but it is perfectly located with wonderful views and an understated elegance that is rare.

The house was built around the turn of last century and is similar to many luxurious villas that dot the coast around Dinard. We chose to stay here rather than the more touristy and slightly claustrophobic St Malo which you can look at and visit at your leisure.

Almost all the rooms look out over the beach to St Malo as does the terrace which is wonderful for an evening drink or breakfast. It is lovely to see the empty beach in the morning which is also a great time to swim.

I would highly recommend this hotel. The hosts were most charming and made some excellent recommendations for dinner in the town.

A very beautiful Belle Epoque house very well maintained by the owners who dominate the beach of the Eclipse with St Malo in the background. A welcome of infinite kindness and good advice for visiting the city/region as well as for booking a restaurant. Bed and breakfast nickels. A sublime view in a place outside of time. You feel privileged and happy to be able to enjoy it. Bravo!

It's a unique place

My wife and I have been enthusiastic guests of the Villa Hortense since 2015. The villa has been able to magnificently retain the old charm, the rooms - with breathtaking sea views - are decorated with exquisite taste, as well as the lounges. The owners are more than charming, cultivated, available, on the lookout, and always good advice in the choice of restaurants (Ombelle, l'escale à Corto, the marégraphe, the red coffee, at Oliver's house which unfortunately closed as well as the Passerelle in the light of the moon, but which we keep an excellent memory). The small lunches are extraordinary with a variety of products and quality, the villa on the Dinfield terrace which we make a direct breakfast in the same calendar as the villa in Linfield.
