Stayed here for multiple nights as we absolutely loved the place. We were looking for a quiet place to unwind and relax and it fit the bill perfectly. The place is rather quaint as it only has two double rooms and as we were a family of 4 we took both rooms so we had the whole upstairs to ourselves. The upstairs is above the family living areas. The stairs are quite steep as advertised so not for mobility challenged people. Although for small children they have removable safety gate and a foldable crib. The upstairs consists of two large bedrooms each with a large double bed. Next to each bedroom is a bath with shower and sink. The toilet is shared. One of the bedrooms is at the far end of a hallway so offers more privacy. There is even a small kitchenette/lounge in between with small fridge, microwave, electric pizza grill and kettle. All sorts of cutlery and utensils are provided. The refrigerator is stocked with various drinks and there's also wine available. Wifi is available although not the fastest, although there is a small desk with a wired connection in this common room. The decor and style is farmhouse mixed with modern chic. There's old exposed wooden beams yet all the walls are modern. The bedding, furniture and everything is very tasteful. Outside there a nice heated pool which we spent hours in. Parking is not an issue and being out in the countryside its safe. There's not much to do in the immediate area except for walks as in the countryside but that's the attraction. So a car is essential also for dining options. The sit-down continental breakfast was fantastic and served in the family kitchen dining area. There was plenty of croissants, pain au choc, baguette, jams, spreads, cheese, coffee, orange juice, milk, yogurt, etc. With Covid a lot of dining places in the nearby villages were closed so we did have to go further afield. There are apparently delivery options but we did not try. There's a large grocery store in closeby village. But Le Mans is not far away and there's plenty of excellent dining options there. The old city itself impressed us. The location is not exactly in the center of the Loire chateaux area but within an hour there's a few of them. The hosts were very friendly and gracious. Couldn't have asked for more.
