Excellent and comfortable family owned hotel located 20 minutes from Colmar in one direction and 20 minutes from Mulhouse in another.  Also near the Franco/German border.

The hotel is impressive to look at and has been extended over the years.  Most of it has been refurbished in the past few years so the hotel is in great condition.  As well as a reception and bedrooms there is a bar,  large restaurant in 2 parts, an excellent tea room with a good range of cakes , a beautiful spa and both indoor and outdoor swimming pools and an outside jacuzzi so the facilities are really good.  Also excellent outdoor and underground indoor parking.

We took half board and the food was very good with large portions, well presented and no need to look at a la carte alternatives.  The service was outstanding.

A few negatives, but which take very little away from the overall enjoyment of the hotel.  The bar is a slightly dingy area and the only proper lounge area.  The breakfast room is not used during the day so there is extra seating there.  However there is only dining seating in that area.  The 2 restaurants seem to be divided between those taking half board and those taking regular meals.  The half board area is a little sparse, although very spacious.  The lighting is all overhead spotlighting where lights at table level would improve the ambiance.

The bedrooms, although comfortable, are somewhat on the small side. Also the air conditioning is automatically turned off at 8.30 pm which makes the room warmer than it needs to be on a hot night.

Very comfortable family owned hotel

After a day's riding we arrived at this delightful hotel mid afternoon and were delighted with the experience.  Its a complete report and seemed out of place given the small town adjacent.  However, it was very popular and seemed to be full.  Our room was a bit on the tight size, but we had a lovely balcony with views of storks standing on nearby chimneys.  After settling in we had drinks in the bar and then  adjourned to a superb dinner with equally superb wines.  This was followed by a great night's sleep and then a magnificent hot and cold breakfast with views over the adjacent lake.  

A very nice hotel which we were sad to leave.

This is a really beautiful property.  About 10 years old, built in a traditional style on the outside, and a quite Germanic modern style inside.  Everything is built to the very highest quality, and I was quite shocked (pleasantly) by how great it was given the price point (€140 for the room for one person).  I particularly like the spa which (at 7pm) was really quiet and still running (different facilities close down between 8 and 10pm).   Sauna with a picture window and a cold bucket 'shower' - perfect!  Can't recommend highly enough, and want to return, but there are a few things which might be worth being aware of:

- the rooms are really great value for the price, but the extras are more in line with the quality.  For example, breakfast is €23 and worth the price (fantastic range and quality) - but that's quite high v the room rate.  On the other hand, there is a bakery at the front gate that opens at 5am, and a v casual restaurant a few doors away.  If you want simpler options, they're available outside the hotel.
- the style of the hotel bar/restaurant is high quality but not necessarily 'luxe'.  One of the dining rooms has no table cloths, and quite stark furniture.  Again, maybe the Alsace style but this is more sleek than luxe/cozy.
- the restaurant is high end and so be prepared to eat a gastronomic meal.  I enjoyed my food but my beef was cooked may 2-3 levels higher than 'a point'.  Unusual to get it that wrong.
- the room has no toiletries in the shower except an unmarked dispenser which I took to be 'all purpose'.  It was awful as shampoo, and there was no conditioner.  Bring you own.
- the Tesla chargers were all marked out of order.  As Tesla drivers will know, it's a nightmare to arrive with 10% in a small town expecting to flop in the hotel... and see that.  It is marked on Tesla's website as a destination charging spot.  Hopefully they're repaired soon (and it turned out, when I tried, one of the three worked anyway)
- Ensisheim isn't Colmar in terms of charm but it's perfectly nice.  I thought the building across from the hotel looked odd, and then realised that it's a prison!  If I get sent to prison, that's where I want to go!  Looks nice - but perhaps not what you expect.

I loved this hotel and will return when I can.

Excellent, especially  for the price point

First of all, food at the hotel restaurant is great and also the wine selection is amazing. Spa area is not perfect, but still very good given the price. Rooms are fine, however the social areas in the hotel seem to be stuck in the 90s. All in all, still a recommendation, particularly for that price...

Nice resort, great food...however...

Stopped off briefly whilst using the EV charge point. Easily accessible and staff very polite and helpful. 
Hotel facilities / decor excellent and importantly very clean. 
Would like to stay over next time we’re passing. 

Short stop for coffee and drinks

My family and I stayed here for just one night... and I wished We could have stayed longer! This hotel was great! Our favorite part was the spa amenities: 2 hot saunas, 1 steam room, one indoor pool, heated chair area, outdoor pool and hot tub. My husband and I had dinner here; it was one of the best meals I had during our Eurotrip. For a flat price we were able to get an appetizer, entree, and dessert. The rooms were great and the lobby of the hotel was beautiful. 

Great hotel!

We stayed here for a couple of nights as we drove from Germany back through France. The hotel was picked due to the fact that it has a Tesla charger, and the fact that we wanted something that would be relaxing. It did not disappoint. Quite the opposite in fact, the hotel exceeded our expectations. The village itself is not much to write home about, but the hotel is great and the spa facilities excellent. Our double room was absolutely huge, nicely and recently decorated and the bathroom was amazing. It was lovely and quiet with a pleasant view out of the window. Our first day, although in the midst of a European heatwave, it rained so we took advantage of the indoor spa - there is a lovely pool, two different temperature saunas (the sauna aux herbes was particularly good), a hammam and a range of beauty suites. I had a manicure and although the girl who did it did not speak English, and my French is appalling, we muddled through and it was a lovely experience. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant on our first night and it was very good, though perhaps a little expensive. Breakfast had a very good selection, including fresh made omelettes and crêpes. The hotel even gave us a jar of their homemade jam to take away with us. This hotel does not have the big wow factor of a more luxurious hotel, but it doesn't out a foot wrong.

Can't fault it

Stayed at this lovely hotel on 23rd August on our way back from Italy. The room was modern and very welcoming. Really liked the swimming pool and the outdoor areas. The dinner and breakfast were excellent. Only downside were the mosquitos which were about but this was because of the extremely hot weather and the pond that is in front of the hotel. We would definitely like to return.

Relaxing overnight stop

The best stop-over on the way to, and from, the south.  Very relaxing after a day driving. Not too far from the highway, quiet and green location, clean and agreeable rooms (most renovated), private parking, spa and pool.  And most friendly, serviceable and knowledgeable reception staff.
Very sophisticated and complete breakfast.  And the restaurant is on the way to high culinary standards.

Fine hotel, fine breakfast, fine restaurant

We just stayed for 2 nights in the lovely Hotel. All has been well decorated. Our room, a deluxe double room, was huge, very modern and very clean with a balcony to relax in the afternoon. The wellness area was fantastic with a nic eoutside pool. The restaurant offers a great variety of opportunities with great menue options and very nice wine menue. Will definitively come back to take a break and relax.
