Everything in average. French cuisine is not exhilarating but it is a rare restaurant where you can eat without sauces and sauces!!!! Forget that you can have a good dinner like in Italy: the position on the street corner is certainly not pleasant especially in summer since we are at the sea.

Dinner

We stayed in the hotel during Monaco Yacht Show, and it is nice! The rooms are very clean and spacious (we were in three places room), with sea view. It is easy to reach by car or by train (train station is 800m away). There is nice outdoor space with tables and seats to have breakfast. The only problem is THE breakfast, Maybe we stayed during low season, but it was not served correctly and coffee was really bad.

Small Hotel with restaurant

We knew thanks to TripAdvisor reviews that we could walk to this hotel from the train station and easily access the beach and bus.  That, however, is where the convenience ends.  When we arrived to check in, we couldn't even find where to go.  We asked a woman in the restaurant, and she begrudgingly showed us after her hand gestures alone did not suffice.  So if you do book this place, go through the patio dining area and past the curtains to the left in the back! (The ones straight back will take you to the toilet).  There is no lift, so if you have a lot of luggage, be prepared to lug it all up to your room yourself!  The owner failed to tell us that access to the rooms is cut off after a certain hour, and you need a security code to open the door.  Luckily, the kitchen staff saw our dilemma and gave us the code.  Then when it came time to check out, we found that the owner had already run our credit card for the room.  This would not have been a big deal, except that we also had breakfast that morning (SO not worth the price) and wanted that added to our bill.  We went to pay in cash instead, and the woman there looked IN HER PURSE to see if she had change and didn't, so wouldn't take it.  We tried then to give her our credit card, but she didn't know how to use the machine.  So I had to run all over Eze village (there isn't much to it in the way of stores, and there are NO ATMs, just FYI) to find something to buy so that I could make change.  Horrible!  The room itself was fine-nothing fancy, but clean and sufficient, with wifi access.

Frustrating stay

We stayed in this expensive, low-end hotel with no breakfast scheduled for the morning without warning (internal organization problem). Noisy, unsafe, old rooms. The sea view is distant, rather overlooking the national, noisy!!!!

What to Avoid

Given the price and the quality of the room, as well as the location of the hotel, the price is excessive. Some rooms face the road, so noisy.

Small room

With 2 friends I had the opportunity to stay at this hotel... Located in front of one of the best views I've ever seen, this small hotel is run by the most available and friendly people I know. The spacious, clean, comfortable rooms with really comfortable beds. Not to mention the spacious, all-comfort bathroom. The only problem was that we only stayed for 2 nights.

Stop is mandatory.

I have stayed in Pantarei several times over the past few years ( during busy summer months). It is a good value for money. The hotel is situated in a great location: within walking distance to the bus stop going to Nice(2 min) , train station (less than 10 min walk), beach (5 min walk).
Rooms are very simple but clean with AC. It would be nice to have a mini fridge in the room, especially if you are staying for a few nights to store something small.
Staff is very welcoming and friendly. Maurizio and the team will make sure you are well looked after.
The hotel has a nice restaurant that serves delicious dinners. It was always very busy and it seemed that it had quite a few regular customers ( mostly Italians) which i thought was a good sign. 
I would definitely recommend the place to anybody who is planning to visit Cote d' Azur and is looking for a convenient place to stay & do various day trips from Eze.

Good value for money hotel with a good location

Hotel Pantarei set on the coast road was very pleasant indeed,Located 250 metres from the beach in Eze-sur-Mer, this hotel offers rooms with free Wi-Fi and a restaurant with a terrace. Free on-site parking is available and Eze-sur-Mer Train Station is located just across the road. our first night meal there was surprisingly good with excellent service.
Unfortunately the air conditioning unit in our room was very noisy which made for a sleepless night.

7th Hotel of our European Tour

Great reception, good quality and moderate price. Beautiful location in the bay of Eze very close to Monaco and Nice. We eat in the restaurant. Since it is only three steps from the beach I would love to go back in the summer!!!

A warm welcome

The Tourism Office of Eze still has this Auberge listed on their brochures. 

We had a very bad experience with that auberge and still sore about it. Very hard to find too, especially after dark, due to poor street lighting, etc.. We had to leave a deposit of 135 Euros they deposited 2 weeks prior to our arrival. When we got there, we found the doors shut and although they live there, nobody to contact. My parents, my sister, my husband and I had to spend most of the night looking for another accomodation in July. THe next morning, we tried to get our deposit reimbursed to no avail. The aubergist was drunk already (they also have a bar downstairs) and insulted us. We had to call the police but not a civil matter, filed a claim with Tribunal of Commerce of Nice, but no answer yet.

Wrote also a note to the mayor in vain. Warn all your friends about those crooks!
