Since the change of ownership everything has changed. Super welcome and what to say about the restaurant except that it's a real delight. We'll be back with great pleasure.

Dinner in Fos

Reservation made on Hotel.com for a Wednesday evening. No specific mention on the site. Arriving at the hotel with my manager... hotel closed. I call the owner who tells me that the hotel and restaurant are closed on Wednesday and Sunday. We wait 30 minutes in front of the hotel in broad daylight because the owner's wife has to come to open us, the latter falls into a so-called car breakdown and the owner asks me to wait 30 minutes longer. He also tells me that for dinner we have to find her again and do 10kms for a restaurant. I ask him to cancel the booking, which he accepts.

Disastrous

First of all, I wanted to say that you shouldn't rely on photos. This hotel has nothing to do with photos given that it doesn't even have a restaurant and the rooms don't look like that at all. Moreover, the rooms aren't worth the price at all. The price is 75€ without breakfast and this one is 10€: so a total of 95€ for an old, old bathroom and a shameful breakfast for that price (a hot drink, a small glass of orange juice, a croissant each and slices of bread with butter). I find it very aberrant to pay if for such a room and breakfast. If we had booked all this, we would have booked it somewhere else.

Shame on you

We chose this hotel (pension) to spend one night because of its good reviews and it was a complete disappointment.We booked a double room and when we arrived, the room had two beds but no joints, each at one end of the room.The bathroom was shared.The toilet was in a quarter of a square meter (without window) and the shower in another slightly larger.The room had no television, no phone, or just anything (two beds, an old table and a drawer).I expected a lot more from the photos and opinions I had seen!Everything was very clean.Of course.

Very disappointing.

We stayed here even though the hotel was not yet open under it's new ownership as they opened a room especially for us. The new owners are lovely and very friendly and helpful. The hotel is full of character and the decor is lovely. The room was the largest we had on holiday and very light. A bar downstairs which can be open air or closed and will be lovely in nice weather. Chocolate cake fabulous and the biggest slice!

First guests for new owners

The decor is gorgeous, the cuisine is excellent, it's made from local produce, the warm atmosphere, it's a great surprise, I'm going to go back to it very often.

It's perfect.

A very nice discovery for us this evening. A refined meal, a warm welcome. A glance at Argentina that reminded us of good memories... everything is up there in the musical atmosphere. We had a very good evening.

Very good experience

We went to the Gentlhommière with a colleague for lunch on a Friday afternoon. We had booked by phone and the hostess told us that the restaurant only opened at 12:30 noon. So we arrived for lunch and a charming young woman welcomed us with great joy and offered to sit at the table that had been reserved for us. We sat down, a beautiful wooden table, a very studied and very friendly vintage decor and a jazz music background (by the way, there are live concerts with real music and a menu inscribed on a small clay table in harmony with the rest of the environment.)

Dinner with friends

One cannot miss the opportunity to enjoy a magnificent cuisine in the hands of an innovative chef, all without abandoning that familiar and intimate atmosphere in the area.

An excellent room.

We liked it so much that we would pass by Fos to visit France. The establishment looked after to the smallest detail, both in the cleanliness and in the ambiance. The spacious and extremely clean rooms. The restaurant and the breakfast were impeccable. The couple who run it is very attentive and super serviced. We were told that they had embarked on the project and that they were gradually making it their own, with small/large projects. And the price, given the very correct location.
