Very friendly welcome to Christian the owner of the place, who is tireless to tell you about the area and the places to visit. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the bed is perfect. Breakfast is served carefully and very cozy, ideal before a day of visiting the area. There are really many places to visit in this peaceful area. We sincerely recommend a stop at the Grange.

A Refuge of Peace

Situated close to the ancient city of Cahors (15-20 mins), La Grange de Jaillac is set in a delightful rural location, down a quiet lane with no passing traffic to speak of. We chose this venue as an interim stop on our way back north from Carcassonne and were not disappointed. Christian, our host, was very welcoming; our accommodation, a very spacious well-appointed room most welcoming after a fairly lengthy journey. The pool was especially inviting, and we took full advantage prior to dinner. We dined in Cahors, the evening coinciding with a French World Cup victory, which made for an interesting experience in itself, with highly enthusiastic crowds celebrating unreservedly. Breakfast the next morning was leisurely, together with conversation with Christian, a charming man. Alas, too brief a stay!

Must arrange La Grange

What a pleasure to have spent six nights in this beautiful, quiet place; a tastefully decorated, renovated farmhouse. Our host Christian was alone to welcome us and we had a great pleasure in sharing the guest table with him on our first night on the spot. Everything was there for the pleasure of our papillae, from the appetizer of choice to coffee. A delicious home kitchen. Our bedroom and bathroom were very well equipped; plenty of room to lie down for several days. We were very lucky to meet other very friendly people and had very lively and sometimes very funny discussions with him.

A perfect and rewarding stay

A very warm welcome from Christian who takes all the time to exchange and give advice. A charming place with very large and very well decorated rooms. Breakfast is very complete with original and homemade jams. Thank you Chritian for our exchange on the remote islands of Polynesia and the quality of the kitchen offered in half boarding, a real treat! A place to highly recommend.

A place full of charm

We stayed for 2 nights in this very beautiful d'hôtes room and felt comfortable around, everything was perfect. Christine and Christian welcomed us with a cool welcome drink. In the beautiful garden we talked for a very long time and received great tips for business the next day. Our room Figuier was very tasty and furnished with attention to detail. That day we finished with a delicious menu at the restaurant Un Canard sous l'Olivier, which was also a recommendation from Christian. The next morning we were expecting a good breakfast with a lot of easy marmalades, unlimited Croants etc. Unfortunately we couldn't enjoy the swimming pool because the whole thing was unopened and we can't wait to visit the next one.

Overnight in the beautiful Chambres d'hôtes in the middle of nature

A newly carved barn in the countryside, just a few steps from the N20, just north of Cahors, a beautiful garden, a beautiful swimming pool, nice comfortable rooms, and most importantly, a warm welcome, open-minded guests, a delicate kitchen, a desire to please, in short, a place where you enjoy being.

A charming place, resembling its hosts

We spent one night in this very friendly guest room with caring guests who were concerned about the well-being of their guests! The only thing we could improve on was breakfast without typical local products (damages) and the cheeses available were kiri and babybel... in the country of Rocamadour... it's not top! On the other hand, a beautiful swimming pool and a beautiful view of the countryside.

We stayed one night at La Grange on our way to a family celebration. It's a lovely place to spend some time; the hosts are very accommodating and friendly and we were made to feel really at home - just what you need for a relaxing getaway. 

I must admit that being a light sleeper, I was nervous that people walking on the squeaky floorboards would keep me awake, especially as the house was full with other guests. But a white noise machine and ear plugs, and these combined with a long journey, made sure I slept well! The rooms are generously sized and the larger-than-average beds very comfortable. It's an old house, so a certain amount of noise is inevitable, but this is always a concern for me. 

The house is extremely clean and well looked after. The pool area is a wonderful area in which to relax. There are sun beds and pool towels are provided. From here you can see the butterflies fluttering about on the lavender and forget all your worries. 

Breakfast is croissants and other breads and gorgeous homemade jams, together with juices and the best coffee ever (says my husband - a coffee fusspot). This is made and presented with a lot of care and you can tell the owners enjoy what they do.

Relaxing stay in the countryside

We spent one night at this lovely B&B and wish we could have stayed longer. Our room was light and roomy with a lovely bath. The gardens were charming, I only wish it had been warm enough to swim in the very enticing looking pool. We enjoyed our dinner very much, I see a couple of people on trip advisor have reviewed the meal as expensive but we felt the price was extremely reasonable for aperitif with nibbles then 3 delicious courses with wine and coffee. We would definitely come back here as this B&B would make a great base to explore the area.
