We couldn't recommend this site enough. It is beautiful and has given us a fantastic holiday. We booked through vacances select who were disappointing and never at their location. The staff at the general campsite, however, were fantastic and very professional. We would definitely come again but we would book directly with the campsite and not vacances select. It is a lovely campsite, a beautiful location, a great pool and wonderful entertainment.

This review is perhaps slightly premature as we’re still here on holiday, but we’re having such a fantastic time I thought I would write it now! This is our third trip to Frejus, the last being in 2017. We had previously driven past Club du Colombier from our previous accommodation and thought it looked very nice. We are staying in one of the Yelloh Village chalets.

The quality of everything is excellent - the accommodation is of a very high standard in particular. We have loved visiting Eurocamp sites in the past, but this is a definite step up. 

The site is incredibly clean, the staff are lovely, welcoming and very helpful. 

The local area is incredible too. Coming from the UK it is lovely to swim in the warm seas and local lakes - a visit to Lac du St Cassien is a must for any water sports enthusiasts. 

We will definitely be coming back - and I’m very jealous of anyone coming here later in the summer!

Amazing holiday, when can we come back?!?!!!

This site is amazing. We had a lovely plot with jacuzzi and lots of outdoor space. It was brilliant.
We had free access to the balneo and spa, felt like VIP guests.
Loads of sun beds, water jets pools and different undercover areas.
Nice shop on site. Lovely main pool area.
The only downside was distance to the sea, there wasn’t a nice path to walk there, it was all busy main roads.

Brilliant site, top notch

Gorgeous! Some points of improvement needed A serious security service, sometimes a little too straddling unnecessary points, a professional reception, a mini market with minimum demand, rather expensive and unfriendly, depending on who is at the cash desk, very different in their attitude and process for checking and disinfecting sunbathing at the Spa, for example. One very rigorous, the other very lax. The need for my 16 year old daughter to systematically present her identity card to the Spa while she has a bracelet to access it is unnecessary and painful. Beyond these points of improvement and the very high cost of the rental (Moorea 6/7 people), the accommodation and its equipment were top notch, the superb Jacuzzi, the terrace and the lounge area, solarium, divine mini beach. The equipment was really well thought out and adapted. A luxuriant and well organized vegetation. Well made and nickel parking spaces. Private access to the Moorea residences and the spa is a plus. Peace of mind. The maintenance team at the top and very responsive, in addition to being friendly. It s expensive but it s superb if you live in the Moorea area. The proximity of Frejus / St Raphael and the beaches is also appreciated

Gorgeous!

We had a fantastic holiday at Domaine du Colombier for 2 weeks from the end of June. My wife and I with our 3 children (14,12,9) flew to Nice and got a transfer directly to the campsite.
We found the admin staff to be helpful and courteous. The security staff on the gate were polite and friendly and took their job seriously which was reassuring. Likewise the pool staff appeared to be very safety conscious.
There is a well stocked supermarket on site with extremely friendly staff. It is probably not as cheap as a large supermarché but they rarely are.
The pool complexes are fantastic. In my opinion the only downside is that children are not allowed into the spa area pool. I understand this is a place of relaxation but it is an amazing pool complex and even to allow families to go there for a limited period of time (eg 2 hours in the morning or one afternoon per week) with their children would be a huge bonus and would probably further enhance the complex. The other family pools with the lazy river are great fun and well run.
We only ate in the restaurant once during our holiday and it was reasonably good.
Entertainment was lively and tried to cater to all age groups.
The campsite is on an incline therefore people with physical impairment may find it a bit challenging. However there is regular shuttle available to get around the campsite.
We used the local bus service regularly (once we figured out routes and timetables) to go down into Frejus and the surrounding areas.
We have stayed in over a dozen different campsites in France and found this to be one of the best so far. Different campsites suit different peoples tastes but in summary this medium sized family friendly campsite was perfect for our tastes. 
We would be extremely happy to stay there again.



Village Domaine du Colombier

During our stay the camping was not very crowded. All the facilities were at easy and complete disposal. Things could be different in high season, I suppose. The half board solution, for the meals, may be satisfactory: breakfast is excellent, while the choise at dinner could be limited. The minimarket, on site, offers many products, at reasonable prices, for your picnic at the pool.   

A five stars camping in the 5 stars Costa Azzurra

We were very impressed with our accomodation.  Right from the start of our stay we were made to feel important.  Our accomodation was perfect, very private and with a beautiful view down to the pool.  We could of been anywhere, on a tropical island we loved the thatched roof it reminded me of New Zealand.  A lovely couple of days

Very relaxing and beautiful

The good:
Its a beautiful campsite, full of massive pine trees and gorgeous flowers. Staff are really friendly and pools are excellent. The kids had a blast on the waterslides (as did I!). There's an additional pool/spa just for adults. Check if it's part of your package otherwise you must pay to enter. It's fantastic... if you can get time away from kids. It's a 5-10 min drive from Frejus and set in the middle of Cote D'Azur so neighbouring towns such as St Tropez are very accessible.
Our cottage looked new and everything worked perfectly.
There is a shuttle bus constantly running that will bring you anywhere in the campsite.

The Bad:
Music at the pool is waaaay too loud ... at times it's like being at a nightclub. We moved back from the pool/speakers but it's still off-putting if you are trying to relax.

The Ugly:
The food in the restaurant isn't great and it's very overpriced for what you get. This forced us into eating in the nearby villages ... which was great.
You have to pay €20 to use the paddle court! 

Beautiful campsite in a wonderful location

We’re 5 days into our family holiday here, we are staying with canvas holiday. Villa is a 3 bed with air on which is tucked away but backs onto the internal road (F04). Close enough to the swimming pool but far enough from the hubbub. Pool is nice but no actual “swimming” pool. Small dipping pool and a nice lazy river. Water slides are ok, better for sub teenagers, although a few gangs of older boys were having lots of fun. Lifeguards are mostly policing the wearing of pocketed swim shorts so you’ll need tighter non-pocket ones. No necessarily budgies though. Food and wine is pricey but it’s similar prices down by the beach. Shop has good range but pricey again as you’d expect. Nearest big shop is a Intermarche, you can walk there in about 20-25 minutes but lots of the roads don’t have raised paving, just a cycle Lane, so it’sa but hairy. We didn’t hire a car so tried all sorts. 
There’s a decent home bargains esq shop 10 minutes walk which has good general stuff, and a bakery 10 minutes further. The on site shop has decent bakery products for the morning though.
Uber is available but typically 30 minutes to connect to a driver then 20 minutes for the ride to arrive. Felt like there’s only 5 uber drivers. Bus from site to beach us every 2 hours or so, only costs €2 so €8 for 4 of us compared with €13 Uber. Bud was on time but goes like the clappers through the winding town roads, so take a travel tablet if you’re sensitive.
Massive market on the Sunday by the beach, and the Frejus beach is lovely, not too busy, and has fresh water showers dotted about and free automated cleaning toilets. Decent sand, very long and steep but not dangerous into the water. No body boarding but waves were fun when it was windy.
Top tip if getting an Uber, order it then sit at a nice restaurant and grab a drink to wait it out! 
On site events are ok, bingo was fun, magician had surprisingly good bits. The band sounded great. The kids clubs do seem to have English speakers but it was mainly French kids so not sure what it would have been like.
Local aqualand water park is super expensive (€30 pp but then you need the €20 fast pass else you’ll be queuing all day) but was really good fun for a one off. 
Overall we’d recommended this resort. We survived without a car, with a €230 both ways booked taxi through jamtransfer which was great, and Ubers/bus.

Overall decent site, some top tips though without a car!

It really is essential to have a car when staying here, campsite is on a very busy main road and I can’t see how you would navigate it on foot! 

Good security on site which is reassuring, friendly welcome on arrival.

Beautifully kept site with lovely planting. Various nice playgrounds for different ages and a bouncy castle too which was great. Unfortunately the communal BBQ area is not well kept I think it’s left to the users to clean it up? The football area is great but it has a large rip in the the netting allowing the children out into a car area! This needs fixing ASAP in my opinion as it is not safe.

The on-site shop offers a good selection, hours good, prices not too high and the staff were always friendly. Helped with stamps and postcards etc.

We stayed with Eurocamp and our reps were lovely, really clean facilities. Our third Eurocamp stay in Frejus over 6 years and this was our favourite site, it is expensive though. You can  hear the traffic from the motorway at night but we didn’t find this too much of an issue. Shuttle services on site is great especially if your pitch is far from the pool or shop.

Unfortunately we couldn’t give 5 stars because of the terrible service and food at the main restaurant. The service was so rude it was like something out of a comedy show! Huffing, puffing eye rolling etc lots of English and Irish families were commenting on this so it certainly wasn’t a one off experienced by us. The food was very poor and unreasonably expensive, we ate for for less in St Maxime and St Tropez!

Sadly the childrens entertainment was almost all in French so our little ones missed out there. They loved the pool area and so did we, strange monitoring by lifeguards as sometimes very strict and others it was a total free for all especially on the water slides.Shame the seal in the Baby Pool area was broken but overall lots of loungers and a good size space, inflatables not allowed so don’t buy a huge one to hit the pool with!
