The hotel and the restaurant are very old, old. 15 degrees in the room, even if it's June, hard to take a shower. Very old bed. Restaurant meal, slowness, no friendliness. And no health measures respected, COVID 19. No mask, no gel, menu cards in old plastic or flying sheets when it's forbidden.

A major disappointment

We were looking for a restaurant by the water and we booked in this one a very nice surprise a nice menu with shells of St. James's, grated liver, a rossini tournedos, veal rice, and excellent desserts

Very nice reception for a reservation evening week, smile no price exchange very friendly with the boss and the person in charge of the service menus very good quality, one of the best price ratio in the sector

I didn't just test out the restaurant on a nice day in May. I put the average grade but I'd like to put  good  and not very good. I'm explaining. A simple but good kitchen. Where some tents of exoticism they don't master. Here the dishes are homemade and just good. I took a big salad that wasn't on the map but was offered because of the heat of the day. With a desert apple pie. House. And prepared the same because desserts are to order at the beginning of the day.

A quiet, waterfront restaurant

The reception is not the warmest but it remains good. The room and bathroom are large but very old and soundproof. As soon as a person is in the common areas or in the next room, we hear all the noise very well. The wifi is present but of poor quality. The breakfast is very light in view of the products on offer and the price. The price is very high in view of the benefits.

We arrived on a Sunday evening on foot, and even though the restaurant was closed, the host made us a fine salad plate, which we call hospitality.

Just has its charm

The place is cold, the reception is summarised to the limit of unpleasantness. Errors in ordering. and then the slowness!! arriving at noon, leaving at 4pm! I have never seen this. The dishes are anyhow bad to me. Really nothing extraordinary for menus is 23 or 29 euros. I will not come back.

I Have stayed in this quirky little hotel many times, and always look forward to returning.
Yes it is a little hard to find , and you do have to pass through an industrial estate, then suddenly you are beside the gleaming waters of the busy Seine and the hotel is right there, immediately opposite a huge lock complex with a fairly regular flow of large barges. Yet it is strangely quiet, as is the whole location. The garden and restaurant overlook the river and the food is good and well priced.

Superb, tranquil site by the Seine

Nice terrace, uninventionally good but rather good kitchen, but absolutely deplorable service, unfriendly reception, but the worst is the slow service (1h15 between the entrance and the main course), and the total ignorance of the staff towards passing customers! During the two hours at the table, only one large local customer table had the honours of service.

What a disappointment.

Like other reviewers we followed our satnav through an industrial estate with some trepidation. However, the location next to the four locks on the Seine is really interesting. It's a quiet location. The family who run it are hard working. Our rooms were very clean, although basic. The meals we had were very nice, although we would ask them not to chill their bottles of red wines. Room 4 overlooks the locks. There was a wedding going on the night we stayed, so we didn't have access to the restaurant. One couple said the generator was going til 3am as the party continued. I had ear plugs so any noise didn't bother me. I would have liked a kettle and tea and coffee making in the room. Staff were very helpful giving me a tooth brush and paste - as I'd forgotten mine. On the whole - a nice hotel for a short stop over - in an interesting location. We didn't have breakfast as previous reviews had been very critical.. But then we also had a ferry to catch.
