The room and the bathroom were very spacious. The owner gave us good advice on walks in the area, he even borrowed us a map.
Breakfast was very nice, we were there in summer so we could outside on the terrace. To be recommended ! We will certainly go back !!

Very nice owners and lovely rooms

This b&b offers both privacy and a family atmosphere. We had a warm welcome and the house is located at a quite environment. Home made breakfast, pool with a view and clean rooms. Good stay for a good price. 

Lovely people and great stay 

The owners give the best of themselves making this a wonderful place to stay, the breakfast was very good!

Rooms are nice and very tidy!

We were traveling with a 10 month old baby and she had a lovely time. The room was very well equipped for us and the baby, so we can advise this B&B also to couples with young children.

4 days in Gerardmer, wonderful and friendly stay!

We were really fortunate to get a room here at such short notice, we only booked 2 days before via booking.com to avoid any potential language issues of doing it over the phone.

The house is immaculate from top to bottom despite it being winter and people are walking in with snowy boots on!
Talking of which there are warm rooms you can use to dry off anything wet overnight so when you put it on the next day it is warm and dry :-)

We stayed in the purple room which was much bigger than your average room - we had plenty of room to spare with all our stuff and there being a table and two comfy chairs in the room as well.

There is a small swimming pool here which unlike in some hotels is open all the time which means you shouldnt have to share it with other people.

Breakfast has a decent choice but best of all the ingredients are all top notch. There was freshly squeezed orange juice, fancy teas, home made cake & local cheese and meats. Being continental it is all cold stuff but it tasted really good so it wasnt a problem.

The Vosges mountains dont seem to have a great deal of English tourists and therefore not everyone speaks english. We communicated with the hosts in German as this was easier than French. You could get by in english but dont expect to be fully understood, so take a dictionary to help out.
Also if you are driving there in winter - remember you will need snow chains for some of the roads. They do a fantastic job of keeping the roads open but after recent snow it is a legal requirement and just common sense to have some chains with you in case you need them.

The guy who runs the B&B couldnt have been more helpful. We got restaurant tips and bookings on the phone done for us, and we were given books of local walks & OS equivalent maps to help us get around. These were really useful for us as there isnt so much information you can find out online about the area - despite it being well worth a visit.

If you go in winter I can thoroughly recommend going snow shoeing - it isnt technical and there are 2 great sign posted walks. 1 is at La Bresse Hoehneck and can be extended to go up to the peak and the other goes around La Petit Mauselaine ski area in Gerardmer. The good thing with these are they are off the runs, are not super steep, and have the benefit of crossing through the ski areas so you can make use of the mountain chalets.

The best auberge we visited was the one about 1km south of Lispach lake. We had an absolutely delicious authentic Quiche Lorraine here and the setting is great with beautiful rustic furniture inside. It is much nicer than the cafe right on the lake.

Spacious, comfortable B&B

We enjoyed our New Year holiday at les Clés immensely. The B&B was built only two years ago and has floor heating and spacious room. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and delicious. After a day of skiing the heated swimming pool was a wonderful way to relax tired muscles. The hosts are very helpful with giving pointers to restaurants and any other activity.

Beautiful B&B

We had a lovely stay at the Les Cles . The owner were very welcoming and even gave us a lift down town to a super restaurant they recommended. The whole building was superbly done with great views and modern very clean rooms. Breakfast was also superb and the owners gave us a good tip for a local walk.
Highly recommended.
